Template Generator + label printer = GOLD
Template Generator + label printer = GOLD
I love the template generator, but my method of using it to make templates out of credit cards has been flawed. I've either stapled or taped, and neither of those are perfect, and consequently, I've had to trim my panels a little more than I'd like after using the templates to cut them.
Peng gave me the idea some time ago, and I just got access to a label printer. this is gonna be the shit.
just wanted to put that out there so someone else could try it.

I glue my paper templates on fake credit cards. Apparently, fake credit cards are not as thick as the real ones, but they are less of a fuss to cut with. They can last and last through the tracing process and whatever.
And if any of the sides get worn out or rugged, just use a nail filer. It makes all the difference.

Yogurt/sour cream container lids (the big ones) are a prime piece of flat, easy-to-cut plastic.
Before I settled on a template, I would print out my templates on sticker paper and stick them on these pieces of plastic to make my templates.
These same yogurt containers, can be cut open and used to make primo funnels.
Speaking of funnels, I'm aching for a funnel cake right now. Gosh are those delicious.

I don't know if the printer ink would do well with fabrics, since the surface quality of facile and paper aren't very comparable.
