Hey. If you're still having trouble with your leg overs you may want to disect the trick by practing the dex alone. What i mean is to serve the bag and just dex it. Once you can get a few dexes in smoothly and regularly you should try to string the set and the dex together.

You can do the same thing on any trick. For example, if your having a tough time on your clippers practice cushioning and foot placement. Once you can stall the bag you'll need to start to set it up high and striaght enough for your do another trick or even hand catch it.

This is how i learned most of my moves. Disecting the parts...set, dex stall.. and learning them separetly.

Good luck. And remember not to half ass any attemp of a trick. This will slow down your muscle memory. Try to take a break and catch your breath after every few repetitions.

Thanks Ben.. Like for the info... I'll try hard to school these damn legovers..

So anyway after a day of shredding with my Mr. Sandbag that I found I just like notice how amazing of a difference there is.. The first time I picked up the footbag after I lost it, I did 23 alternating toe stalls and like 5 inside stalls.

Pretty good for me anyway..

And no legovers yet.. I just hope I'm not going at learning it wrong.. I've watched anz's trick tips and other videos of people doing legovers, so I know what they are. Oh well, I guess just keep trying

Maybe I should make a video of me attempting and failing legovers.. Would that like help me identify what I'm doing wrong? Hmm... Think I might try it when I have the time..

And that's it for today

Thanks

Yes, that would be perfect. It'll help a lot and make it quicker for you to learn legovers. Might i suggest to keep the camera a little father away from you that in the earlier one of you inside stalling. this way we can see your entire body, rather than jsut your legs.

Do you have any other footbags beside a Mr.Sandbag? Don't get me wrong, mr.sandbags are great for beginners but i find that my 32's play so much better than a mr. However i don't regret buying one in the first place, because that started me off into footbag.

If you don't i'd highly suggest investing in one. If you treat it right i can last for a long long time.

Look good?

When I get it should I just start shredding with it instead of my Mr Sandbag?

I have a bag from Jerab, they're top notch.

Hey, if you'd like i might be able to hit you up with a bag. I like smaller bags that are slightly smaller than a golfball and have alot of golfball sized bags laying around that i never touch. Pm me your address and i'll ship it out asap.

Fill me in about your shred sessions. Asking and seeking advice is the fastest way you'll get better at footbag. That and practice. Be specific and don't just say i failed my legover attempts... say something like "i set it up pretty nice but my dexing leg knocked it away" or " my sets aren't really straight so my dexes are out of control because i can't reach the bag" That way you can get specif advice and work on the bugs in your game.

OK...

Just had a session.. I pretty much drilled my legovers..

I've watched myself do them and I've decided that usually 2 different things happen when I don't get them right..

OK, Usually what happens is I can get my leg around the bag for the dex, but then when I take it back down for the catch, I'm always like a couple inches away from the bag, so I like miss the bag when it comes back down..

The other thing that happens is that my leg hits the bag when I dex..

I think I am improving though, even if it's in very small amounts..

In time you'll get your speed up on your dexes. But you have to remember that its more about timing and less about pure speed.

Right, more timing less speed..

I just hit a 2 legovers on my right side!!!! I didn't do the set but I thought it was pretty good..

Man so much to say.. Just had an hour session and it was probably one of the best yet..

So I was trying like the legovers without the dex, and I did probably 3 on my right side and 2 on my other one.. A huge step for me...

Also I was just messing around and I found out I can do mirages pretty good... I did like 5 on my right side and 2 on my left... And some of them were with the set!

Also, my clippers are starting to get better too... I can do stuff like set it with my toe and then clipper stall it with the opposite foot on both sides..

And one more thing.. Even though I kinda gave up on my consecutives I did something like 79 today... I might as well finish up my goal for 100..

So as I said! One of the best sessions yet..

Heyy everyone... Not really too much to say..

I've had a couple 1 hr sessions and they've all been about the same...

My clippers are getting better and so are my mirages and legovers..

Yep... I'm just gonna keep on drilling em till I get em right..

GOd damnit!!!!

Post by mannel rox »

I hate this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The couple past sessions have sucked!!

So I've hit no legovers.. Not even without the set before the dex.. What's up with that.. I think I learned it wrong... I still need to make that video of my trying legovers..

And someone told me I should work on hitting lots of atws for getting better at dexing.. So I've been working on that and I've hit nothing at all....

On a lighter note I'm really getting good at clippers. I can almost do a constant <toe> <opclip> <op> <Op>

That's good... But everything else...... Ugh..

You might want to try doing legovers by setting the bag from you hand.

so at first you start with your knee up and you set the bag by dropping it from your hand. After you get comfortable with the legover movement then you can give it some more tries from toe stall.

good luck :)

I'm having better sessions lately. My legovers are getting better. I am setting from the hand, and sometimes I get close to landing one with a set from my toe..

Also I am working on ATWs. I have been trying them and have had no luck yet, but I am going to try the thing where you dex around the bottle.

Another thing, my clippers are also getting much better. They are just getting more consistent in general..

Thanks!
