Hey guys, turns out I'm working every day until Christmas... last minute job... awesome for me but bad for footbag. No way I'll be able to play until after Christmas...

ERIK! Thank you so much for the bag, I absolutely love it! I got the black and pink one! I think it is really REALLY well made and it feels SO NICE! It already feels kinda broken in. But I haven't really played with it yet, just kicked a bit and a teency bit of shred. So I'll let you know more soon. I also love the way it looks, because those colours look awesome together... in fact, they are the exact colours I asked Tom to make my bag way back... a couple years ago... and he didn't. Haha. He said, "pick two colours from this material" so I did, and he made me a bag with different material in different colours.

And it's actually a terrible, terrible bag.. I really lucked out on the Tom bags. Haha Ok enough bitching about that bag, I think everyone's heard it enough. But it's wicked that the bag you made is what I originally wanted! THANK YOU ERIK! You rock! And Merry Christmas!

Oh, and it's #37, which are my lucky numbers! Everyone said it was made for me.

Anyway, I will be at Zach's appartment at a smooth 5:30 or 6:00 to play some footbag. Its at 9 Spadina, and its an apartment building. Its just south of Front Street and Spagina.

Erik - I haven't gotten a chance to shred with your bag, I have 38 I think. I've just been able to juggle it a lot and thats fun.

we were warming up the other day with the green/orange one (Alex's), and, to be honest, I was a little sad when someone decided they wanted a more worked-in bag. I cannot attest to the objective excellence of your bags Erik, but they are certainly well-suited to what I like. Heavy, gather not so tight as to affect the squishiness, but also not too loose (a bit tighter gather I seem to associate with more durability, and no stitches peeking out...). Of course, the care that goes into your stitching is the kind that only an experienced shredder can give a bag, with an unbelievable (i always find it so) amount of effort put into ensuring regularity of hex/pent size...
I was trying to be critical. its hard, as the stitching i saw was of the highest caliber. Some of the more playable-out-of-the-bag facile footbags I've seen. Of course, I find no bag really proves its worth till a month or so of decent shred time (at least...) but, from what I've seen, I am a big fan.

Edit: My bad, I think it was the red/blue hexes one we warmed up with (40)

My bag (The green and orange, forgot the number) was super awesome. The size and weight is where I like it. It was pretty playable with minimal break in time. Except, the bleed hole is too big, so as I was playing a few beads came out. I'm pretty sure this is a big issue - which sucks because I really like the bag. Ummm, I'm not sure if other people have that issue or that mine is an anomaly. Either way, bleed hole sucks, but the stats of the bag are quite suited to my tastes. The pieces are all well sized and on the whole equal. The weight is super nice, I know some people like small and heavy, while others big and floppy, but I found this one more suited to my tastes. Bigger then my mosher, but smaller than my foot fighter. Bigger and lighter than my Johnny Bag as well - which has a popped stitch

Humm, other than that, I would have given it a 9/10 if there was no bleed hole issue. But there is, so I guess that is a big deal that makes the bag pretty much unplayable, especially to a non-experienced stitcher like myself.

Sorry to harp on that deal a lot Erik, but you have my word: the bag is super awesome other than that. On that note: What can I do to make the bag playable w/o risking losing beads?

If it becomes playable then I will follow up with some durability stuff. If it turns out completely unplayable I can give it hell just to test the durability and such if you want Erik.

Alex, do you have a digital camera with which you could take a picture for me? That does really suck. I'd like to send you a new one. I have no idea how that happened, though, which is frustrating to me

Maybe I will send an envelope with postage in it with a new bag so that you can send the old one back and I can dissect it.

Please anyone else let me know if your bag is leaking.
