Famous Ancestors/Relatives

I've known for almost my whole life that I'm a distant relative of the composer Franz Schubert on my dad's side.


But I was just informed that I'm a less distant relative of Ehrich Weisz on my mom's side, also known as Harry Houdini. Weisz is my mom's maiden name

My roommate Tim Harding is a relative of the one an' only Warren G. Harding, the lowest ranked president ever.

One relative from my mother's side did some genealogy once and discovered that we're supposedly related to Charlemagne, King of the Franks and Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire:


I'm not sure whether he/she was mentally very stable. (I don't know which sex this genealogist was.)

Anyhow, I definitely am related to the tallest living Finn, Sami Eerola (218 cm):



He isn't that famous though, not even here in Finland. My mom's second cousin. Never met him. Looks one funny fellow in that picture though.

I'm related to Poet laureate Robert Frost. You know: "Two roads diverged in a yellow wood." I think he's my grandfather's great uncle or something. My mom's maiden name is Frost.

My aunt used to be the voice of storm in the older X-Men cartoons, 'till she started having kids.

Also:

My uncle (husband of the same Aunt) used to be a character on the Red Green show. He was the police officer in some of the older episodes. I couldn't find any pictures of him. He also hosted the show Pet Project... I dunno if anyone's ever seen that. It doesn't run anymore.

I'm interested in actually researching this stuff now. Could be exciting. If I could pick a few people, I'd want to be related to Einstein, Shakespear, Beethoven and Plato.... we'll see
