I think ideally most all sets should go straight off the foot and then you move your knee after the bag leaves your foot. Example: if you set a fairy and its headed on the outside of your knee as it leaves your foot then you pulled it and its something different than fairy.

I think for sets the bag should come up straight with a hippy dex. The dex should also be nice and visible, passing the knee and not slipping off your foot. Fairy is a great example; sometimes I see a lot of people just doing the dex too early, making the set into some weird toe slip instead of proper fairy form.
