Shredding is my most favoritest thing in the whole widest world...est. I'm finding inspiration everywhere. One of my biggest inspirations is my dream of making BAP. I've also been reading a lot of footblogs, and those are very inspiring. Keep it up, modified people  Perhaps the coolest thing that has inspired me is the history of footbag on the BAP website. I practiced like 2, maybe 3 hours today, and I hope that number increases. Here's a list of new stuff:

-Ducking clipper, back to back
-flip drifter
-pdx ducking mirage
-better, slower osis

I'm going on another cruise this spring break, and I hope to be guiltless by then. Last one there was this huge empty room in the gym that people did their pilates and jazzecise classes or whatever in, and as long as there's nothing going on in that room. I'm also looking forward to island shred, especially if my sister decides she wants to go to like 30 different jewelry stores again :)

I'm looking forward to tomorrow's session. I'm having some kind of xmas party thing on Saturday, so I'll have to clean the basement, but I can always stay up late :) My hand smells like the rice I order from the chinese restaurant we always get our chinese food from. I don't know why, and moreso I don't know why I'm saying that in here.

My abshire's a little more broken in since I drilled kicks like all last week. It's still stubborn though. I know exactly what I'm doing for the next online competition, but it's a secret. I'm going novice with it since I didn't compete in Sick 3 last time, and I placed last in Sick 1  I'd say what I hit yesterday and what I almost hit, but that's part of the secret. You all just have to find out February.

I need to start drilling whirls and osii more heavily. Although I'm trying to pound tiltless into the ground right now. I get pissed because my runs end sometimes after I drop attempting a legover. I can get about 10 max tiltless, the reason being when I could get like 20 I was slouched over and hitting moves as hard and fast as I could. That was like 20 max, 5 average :? I'm at like 8 average now I think. When I can get like a solid 20 I'll start with BOPS, which I'm looking forward to. The problem with my osis is I can't watch it the entire time, and I don't know how I can. It's more of like a guess. My whirls are almost there. I can also now do flip drifter and flip ripstein, not up to par with my strong side, but I can still hit it. I'm hoping to get flip swirl and flip blur soon too.

Edit: oh yeah, I got my hollybag and my BOTS movie in the mail both in time for christmas, but I'm not allowed to open em. Can't wait to play with the bag and watch the movie. Not at the same time though.

Bored with nothing to do and I don't want to sleep, so I'll write in here even though I already did once today. I'm going to reformat my first post and make it look more like Chris Miller's. Let's see, what else... oh yeah, my trumpet teacher gave me a couple different drills for trumpet awhile ago, and told me to practice a different skill every day, never doing the same thing two days in a row, and I've decided to apply this knowledge to drills. Like for tiltless I made up a couple drills that are just basic links, then BOP drills, then a pixie drill which is just PLO>smear>plo>smear>rptxforever. A couple more that I wrote down, but don't want to write in here since the list is downstairs.

I wish I hadn't fucked up my old lavers so bad. My new(er) ones aren't nearly as broken in as my old ones, which I wore like everywhere. I need to start wearing my new(er) ones more, to break them in more. Although I'm kinda glad I had a testpair to screw around with.

Christmas is in 2 days, and I'm sad. It feels like last christmas was yesterday. I hate thinking about the past, it's depressing. Whether it's looking at good things that happened or things I wished I had done, the past is depressing. Especially last year, last year fucking rocked. I don't even think I have any 'real' friends anymore since Alex moved to India for 5 years and Ryan (who I tried to get into footbag; he showed interest but no real will to practice) quit band and I never even see him anymore since he has his stupid girlfriend. I hope that I don't change when (and if  ) I get a girlfriend. I had one once, but that was for like 2 weeks and I don't like talking about it. Everyone seems so different when they're in a relationship. They abandon their friends, their attitudes completely change... etc. How did I start talking about this? Oh well, whatever. I don't believe I'm 16 and I've still never been kissed. Stupid fuckin Britney Spear's sister
(just kidding..)

Oh yeah stuff that I want to do in my footbag career:
-Go to chicago and kick with the CIC
-Go to a tourney/jam
-Go to worlds
-Try busking
-Make BAP
-Maybe start a club unless theres one where I am (or am going to be) already
-Make a kickass footbag movie or cartoon or videogame or comic :P I don't know how I'd do this, but it sounds like a fun challenge.
-Hit a 7 add
-Invent a trick maybe, or a new concept of some sort and give it a kickass name.

So, when I tried starting a club here in stupid little Sugar Grove, I asked Mike Hansen for a website, and I never started the club or even really figured out how to use an FTP server right. I offered the blank webpage to anyone who wants to set up a solo club website, but if no one takes me up on the offer it's a free giveaway, just pm me.

I think we should spread footbag in the same way that the guy in Shaolin Soccer spread karate, by playing soccer :D It makes sense, too. 11 of the best shredders making a soccer team, and after a lot of hard work and teamwork, they win the world cup, admit footbag as their driving force and claim to success, then let the world in on the secret of playing footbag :D Or not. I kind of like footbag being a small sport. It's impressive to bypassers and regular people, you can easily email (or better yet get the opporitunity to talk to during a tourney) the best shredders and have them not be jerkoffs to you, and it's really a sport with a bunch of obsessive, yet dedicated athletes. Footbag needs to grow, but it's something special. To me it shouldn't be just another soccer that everyone plays and everyone recognizes and is boring and dry and stupid. One clearcut difference between soccer and footbag is soccer is very easy. It may take hard work to be great at soccer, but it takes a lot of hard work to be bad at footbag. Anybody can kick a big rubber ball around and into an 8 foot high and 20 foot wide goal, but it takes a lot of patience and perseverance to hit something as easy as an ATW for the first time. That last sentence sounded signature worthy, to any takers out there  (just kidding, but if you really want to)

I shredded in the snow for the first time I think last week. Definately an experience to be had. Until the bag freezes and becomes all rolly. I think that I should train on different surfaces and with different bags more often, so I can learn to adapt to different atmospheres better. I'm not 100% sure if there's any benefit to this, but I guess it's worth a try. I can't be kicking on my rubber shred mats forever. I also want to start kicking barefoot. One, as a backup for anyone that ever says "it's your shoes thats letting you do that" and two, so I can shred at the beach

Well that's about it I feel like I've got a lot off my chest and head. I think everyone needs some kind of journal or diary or something. It's very headclearing. Aaaand now it's like midnight. Fuck. I need to get to sleep earlier. I've been getting like 6 hours of sleep a night, and recommended dose of sleep for teenagers is 10 hours (I thought it was 8, but that's apparently for adults). Apologies if I misspelt anything in there. Good night, modified. Don't let the viruses bite.

Well I'm leaving for Colorado tomorrow to go skiing and spend new years with my sister and stuff. My stupid size 14 lavers take up like half the suitcase, haha. It sucks, cuz I can't tell Holly how the new bag plays. If I'm lucky I'll have like a basement or something to practice in while I'm there, otherwise a week without shred makes Grant very very angry. Oh yeah I dunno if I said this or not yet, but my new con. kick record is 325. Uh yeah, that's about it for like a week.

Wheew I'm back. No places to shred there. We stayed mostly in Breckenridge, which had a negative windchill everyday and not very much room. My lavers sat in the back of the car most of the trip. My inbox is friggen filled to the brim :? I did manage to sew up 4 bags, 3 of which are awesome, so I'll post em on here later. My abshire broke in on the trip, too :D Probably because I left it in my stuffed backpack in a frozen car for a long time. It's all mushy now. Skiing was pretty sweet there, way better than Wisconsin and Vermont skiing. The snow was all powdery and nice. I did an "Expert Only" run on accident haha but it was pretty fun despite the steepness and rockyness and treeyness. Uh that's all I can remember right now, I'm really tired. Bye bye.

Here's the bags that I stitched on vacayshon, just like I promised. The colors are a little screwed up.

They're (the last 3) higher gather than before, smaller, and more full. 60 grams (according to my scale) of pure lead, which I hope to change into tungsten and steel soon (by that I mean when I run out of all 25 lbs of lead) I might sell the lead to someone on modified, because I don't really like the idea of putting toxic material into my bags.

I played outside today. It was pretty nice, but it was drizzling a bit and the bags got all wet and floppy and rolly and I couldn't play for very long. A half hour maybe? Possibly less, I really don't know. Meanwhile while my choice footfighter got wet first, then my abshire, then I ran out of bags and was kinda forced into playing with my unbroken in holly. I was suprised, it played quite nicely for an unbroken in bag. It plays better than my almost broken in abshire. I managed to link two diving clippers together then worked the rest of the time on ss clippers and then a few bops. My osis is getting better, but it's still a bit of a guess and a bit of luck. I should also hydrate myself better during school because I started to get cramps within that half an hour. Playing outside felt good though, and it made me realize that I can't kick in my basement forever, even though I have longer sessions down there and can listen to music. I also feel like I should get into better shape because I was pretty out of breath. Aaaand I just realized I forgot to stretch so I'm going to go do that now.

edit: I should mention that there was a girl at school today that I know that was wearing a Chicago Holiday Sports Festival shirt and I talked to her about it. I'm going to NYJ next year definately, but maybe I'll get a free ride or two :)

i might be willing to buy your lead if its not toooooo big.

im really glad you like that footbag! when it beaks in, i hope you dont mind giving it a review.

thats crazy about accidently getting on an expert only course! i probably would have fallen off a cliff, but would have been found because of the trail of yellow snow leading up to the edge.

Lol, and no I don't mind giving a review when it beaks in  as for the lead I'm going to wait until I have more fillers and I can truly make up my mind. I think I'm going to try a mix of pf steel and freedom's tungsten. I remember a thread where I think Richard Abshire said they counterbalance properties or something along those lines and the steel doesn't rust or something. I might try that with some lead and maybe even some sead beed. I think by the time I'm done experimenting I'll have a small enough amount of lead to sell, because right now I have a lot.

My footfighter is temporarily out of service. I was playing with it before band today and it busted a hole. It's had a good life though. I need to wash it then patch it later. Till then I'll need to use my abshire as my shredbag. I can't play behind the band bleachers during the basketball games anymore. My band teacher said we can't leave the stands. I fucking hate that guy. "I'm from Texas and we have..." just shut the fuck up, you have a midwest accent. He took over when our old band teacher had triplets, and nobody really liked him before when he was just a percussion teacher, but now he's teaching the whole band and he's arrogant and stupid and simple-minded. While we were waiting for the bleachers to move, I realized that I hated band. I don't really like playing trumpet all that much, I guess it's ok, but I stayed in because of the atmosphere and the people. I don't even really have any friends in band anymore. I used to have my two indian friends, but one dropped out and one is now in India. All the fun people graduated. The drumline pisses me off because they get away with eating, sleeping, doing homework and talking during band because there's "not enough percussion instruments for every song." Plus they're really fucking annoying. I have to now go around and look for conversations and people to hang with, which is nothing like the past when that stuff came to me, plus my two best friends were always there to talk to and stuff. Now I really don't have anybody. I don't really like my life right now. I don't really care about anybody anymore, except for a couple people. I never really leave my house and theres probably some people that hang out with their friends like every weekend. It's way different from 8th grade when I had friends in the neighborhood. I hate everyone in my neighborhood now, especially after one of my friends started physically attacking my after the busride home one day. The girls in my neighborhood used to be cool but now they're all stuck up and snooty. I think I'm the one who's always like "hey anybody want to do anything" and somehow everyone's busy and no one ever gets back to me. Especially this one girl that I used to hang out with like all the time last year, we were really tight, then we kinda died down. Nothing was going on between us, and maybe I hoped that something did, but we ended up growing further and further apart, and it's been over a year since we last hung out. She was giving christmas cards to everyone one day, and I got one that almost sounded like she was blaming me. Which is bullshit because I'm always the one saying "hey are you doing anything tomorrow? hey are you busy" and that kind of thing, you know? I sent her a message on facebook basically telling her that if she wanted to hang out it was her responsibility to find a time because I was always the one doing it. I can promise that it'll never happen, and that she'll graduate this year and go off to college and I'll never see her again. If that happens, ever, I won't talk to her ever again. I even get emails from my friend in India, that's how good of a person he is, and he said that sometime when he gets back during summer break that we have to see a movie or something. Then there's my other friend, who's the biggest weeny alive. I remember one summer when I kept asking him to come over, but he said that he couldn't because his mom didn't want him to leave the house while she wasn't home. He's cool and we have a lot in common, but he never does anything, and whenever I ask him to do something he's like "I'll see" then at the very last minute it's always "no." I tried to start a band with him but he never fucking does anything. All I really want is like one really good friend to do stuff with and hang out with and see movies with and stuff. My friends all suck. I'm sick of them. I'm sick of people in general. Everyone is predictable and annoying where I am.

This post isn't a depression kinda thing, it's more like a looking at my life to come to more of a realization thing. Although I feel a little depressed today, but it happens.

I hit magellan today, I think I've hit it before, but I don't think that before it was good. The concept of the trick is a little hard, and I don't think mine are clean. I hit smear bsos today too.

edit: I should also mention I can hit spinning clipper, only strongside, but still. I don't remember when I first hit it, but I can do it now :)
