it's really hard for me not to be overly filled with hyperbole and happy after getting back from jams. But I'm stumped. This was too fun. Thanks everyone for making it out and thanks to Barrett for stressing and slaving over this to make it happen. I'm not sure he even played once Saturday.

well, I'm still here. It's been a bizarre weekend. I've been blown around by fate a bit, but I've also been very well taken care of by good friends. The spirit of footbag is very alive and well in NYC.
Cleaver ran shit at this tournament. Unquestionably. his sick 3s were off the hook, I don't remember what they were... I think i recall blazing drifter > blurry torque > pdx blender. that was sick.
Just want to say thanks to the people who've tried to make this car bullshit a little easier on me. Chris Miller, the footbagger I've fought with more bitterly and angrily than probably any other, basically ruined his friday night to come and pick me up at 3 in the morning and then get stuck in traffic until 5, and made sure myself and my friend Kyle got where we needed to be for the next two days. Now that's footbag. Barrett is off at class and opened his door to me, and now I'm on his computer while he's off taking care of business.
So, to all you footbaggers out there, don't forget that you've got a lot of people on your side. don't forget what a blessing this sport can be.
I had a blast MCing. I've never received money to talk about footbag before. I had a great time all day, and didn't really worry about the car while I was on the mic. It was great watching everyone compete and have a great time, even though I didn't get to play.
by the way, Sunil can still shred, even though he doesn't play any more. Clownface whaaat?

Just wanted to clarify that my last post was a joke; I play in gloves all the time because of my bad circulation. I've appeared in vids shredding in gloves, and people have ripped me mercilessly because of it. I was poking fun of myself, not implying anything about the tourney. God knows I would have loved to go. Just that school owns me.

This was an awesome jam. It was over way too quickly though 
Man it was kind of a hellish time getting up there, and for a minute I didn't even know if I would make it. I'm glad I did though. Barret really went the extra mile to make sure everyone was happy. Big ups to Ken for the crash space. I had a decent time shredding, and the party was pretty cool too. We gotta finish that epic beer pong match next time! I kinda wish I'd had a little more time to shred.
It was cool meeting ben and eric, and it was nice to be able to help ben with his game. I love it when I can help a new player understand a concept and help them achieve it. That's probably the most rewarding feeling for me in footbag. Even more so than hitting a big new trick.
Hangin with Matt was awesome. He threw down some sick jams toward the end, and me and barret were like
I don't think he knows this, but I actually sabotaged his vehicle so he'd have to be stuck with me all weekend...

I enjoyed this jam however I could. If it wasn't exam week, I would have literally had much more energy and fun than I should of had during all of this. I wish it was longer, too. Worlds sometimes gives you the feeling of getting more footbag into a local tournament somehow.
I was pretty sad about Sunday. There were no plans for a goodbye shred. I suppose seeing that everyone was pretty far apart from one another, the hassle of bringing everyone to one spot just to play was too burdensome maybe? Short but sweet nonetheless. 
I had wished to hang out more with the following people: Pat Thomsen, Matt Cross, David Clavens, Chris Miller, Ian Brill, Benny Kellman, Jorden Moir, and several other people I fail to recall their names. I'm sure my attitude throughout this fun time was pretty aggrivating and pissy, but I wasn't directing this energy to anyone in particular. It was my serious face against my form and muscle memory, and lack of sleep.
