Shit. I just wrote this kickass song. I'm working on it now, and here's how it went:
annoying piano sound>synthesizer version of annoying sound>guitar improv part thing that sounds like it would go with part from before in my head>doesn't fit>use guitar improv part I just made up>synthesizer version of that>kickass song (so far, haha)
Lyrics seem to pour out of me. I don't know how I've written some of the songs I've written on my guitar (I'd say about 2 good ones plus this new one) but the lyrical part is pretty easy for me. I think if maybe I follow this pattern for other things I can make some good songs. I'll test it once another stupid song thing comes up, haha.
