modified's a good tool to get to learn about the sport and to kind of work your way around the scene but it shouldn't be a player's "footbag world". Even if people don't read blogs, like mine, it shouldn't really matter. What matters is going to jams and meeting people in person.
not targeting you in particular, ben. This is just something that's popped into my own cranium recently.
oh and I haven't seen the videos yet. I will tonight probably when I update quicktime. Buut apparently the leviathan you caught is "the".
you need to do more witchdoctors, 'btw'. It's a sweet move and, not to be a total douche but I didn't know you could hit it. Doesn't surprise me though with your atomic set.

ok people, time for some real challenges.
I should go back and learn things I should have already learned and drill things I should have been drilling.
This is the list(basically anything and everything that needs work):
Hittable, but needs work= Blue
Cannot hit yet = Red
_____________________________________________
Right side legover
Left side pickup
Right side illusion
Both sides whirl
Right side reverse whirl
Left side osis
Left side pixie
Left side diving
Left side mirage

(just going to keep a list here to keep it organized)
Far legover, near legover BS
Far pickup, near pickup BS
Pdx illusion, buba BS
Pdx mirage, clip set mirage BS
Mirage > Same side Mirage rpt
Illusion > Same side Illusion rpt
Mirage > Legover rpt
Mirage > Pickup rpt
Illusion > Legover rpt
Illusion > Pickup
Legover > Legover rpt x 10, 20 contacts total
Pickup > Pickup rpt x 10, 20 contacts total
Clip set Near Mirage > Mirage > Same side Clip rpt
Clip set Bubba > Illusion > Same side Clip rpt
Clipper > far legover > ss clip rpt.
Clipper > far pickup > ss clip rpt.
Ripwalk>sidewalk>rev whirl>rpt
Please recomend anything that you think needs work and give me some challenegs with this list. please dont say, "Your entire game needs work." please be specific. and also dont say, "Flip Dimwalk" because I already have flip pixie on the list. My goal here is to get a better base for my game and really drill what needs to be drilled. Thanks.

How about this;
Mirage > Same side Mirage rpt
Illusion > Same side Illusion rpt
Mirage > Legover rpt
Mirage > Pickup rpt
Illusion > Legover rpt
Illusion > Pickup
Legover > Legover rpt x 10, 20 contacts total
Pickup > Pickup rpt x 10, 20 contacts total
Clip set Near Mirage > Mirage > Same side Clip rpt
Clip set Bubba > Illusion > Same side Clip rpt
Then once you get those down really good, start using it as your warm-up drill. Start with what's easiest for you, then keep going with them till you drop. Maybe do it 2 or 3 times, and each time, start with the drill you dropped on and continue from there.

Try hitting in one string, with no tilts:
-Far legover, near legover BS
-Far pickup, near pickup BS
-Pdx illusion, buba BS
-Pdx mirage, clip set mirage BS
Its great practice, and eventually you can combine parts. (Illusions and legovers or something in one string). Granted, your better than me, so you have no obligation to said drills, but give 'em a shot anyway.

Hey man - I don't really know you - but here's my experience. You can drill and drill and drill, and only ingrain the wrong technique. Practice individual moves until you've got the form correct, then drill them. You'll save yourself a lot of time in the long run. Make use of your access to video. Work on a couple moves at a time.
At first it will suck because you'll feel like you're a complete newb and you shouldn't have to take your game back so far. IMO the hardest thing about footbag is the mental commitment.
Just my thoughts.

I think the best advice I've gotten is to drill a lot of far concepts as much as possible. It will help you to be more conventially bs. I don't know if this is to your fancy, but starting your drill routines with clippers, and elevating it to far concepts with clippers, seems like a great drill.
Like:
Clipper > far legover > ss clip rpt.
Clipper > far pickup > ss clip rpt.
Also, doing moves like mirage and illusions as symple ss has helped me improve my form just a bit more on basics. It doesn't have to be truly symple; the dexing leg can tap the floor. Just be careful with your rhythm and plants. Those were the things that messed up my rotations.
Oh yeah, GREAT TIP from Erik Chan himself:

Erik Chan wrote: [A] mental trick that works for string length and linking basic 3s is to not count contacts, but rather rotations. So, for instance, butterfly > pdx mirage [repeat] is a good drill to integrate those basic tricks into your shred repertoire. But rather than counting that drill as 4 tricks, count a single rotation of all 4 tricks as one rotation. Try it. You will find linking these much more effortless.

hahahahaha
Call me crazy, but I think you look kinda like sidney crosby in this pic

Sick job on some of those basic drills, I've barely hit any four adds in the past week, I've really just been solely drilling basics, they have to be near perfect before you move on if you ask me.
