If you don't have Framework 2.0 on your computer already click dotnetfx.exe first. Double click the FootbagUtility.msi to install.
What is it?: A computer program that includes various useful footbag applications.
v1.0 has:
1. Combo Generator
2. Set Search
3. Trick Search
1. Combo Generator
The very first combo generator was created by Dat, but I don't ever recall it being distributed before. At least not easily. So, I made this one with as many options as I could think of.
Options:
Add range, combo size, dexes, element (whirl, osis, stepping, etc.), shuffle, pdx, symp, common tricks, rare tricks, toe only, clip only, memorizer mode
It comes with a trick list file (TrickList.csv) with 450 tricks already added. The trick list can be edited to each players liking. Just open the file with Microsoft Excel and add/edit a trick. Make sure to fill in all columns with the appropriate information and update the trick count in the second row. An easy way to find the trick count is to go to the bottom of the list and subtract 2 from the last row number.
Columns:
Name: trick name
Full Name: trick elements listed (eg. torque = miraging osis, gauntlet = blurry ducking torque)
Adds: # of adds
Dexes: # of dexes
Set: toe, clip, or toe/clip (tricks that can and are usually set from either toe or clip. eg. drifter)
Delay: toe, clip, dragon, etc.
Pdx: 1 for yes, 0 for no
Symposium: 1 for yes, 0 for no
Rare: 1 for yes, 0 for no
Common: 1 for yes, 0 for no
***If a trick is rare, it can't be common and vice versa. A trick CAN be neither rare or common.
When saving TrickList.csv, Excel will ask you "Do you want to keep the workbook in this format?". Click Yes.
2. Set Search
Searches a list of all footbag sets and outputs all information about the set.
The file that stores the sets is setList.csv, which can be edited the same way the TrickList.csv is edited. It comes with 92 sets.
Columns:
Name: Set name
Explaination: Description of set
Jobs Notation: jobs notation of set
3. Trick Search
Searches the list of tricks and outputs name, full name, # of adds, and # of dexes. The name must be typed exactly as written in the TrickList file.
Installation: (should work will all versions of Windows. Sorry Mac & Linux users
Unzip the folder and double-click the FootbagUtility.msi. If you don't have Microsoft Framework 2.0 already, click on dotnetfx.exe, which may take awhile, but the actual program is only about 14Mb, so it takes almost no time to install. Don't worry about the distribution warning, it's a default thing by Microsoft. You can give the program to anyone.
Feedback:
I would really like some feedback about this program. Likes, dislikes, errors, suggestions on things to add/change/remove. If people like it and want more things, I can keep working on this and make it into an ultimate footbag training utility.
