getting further. there is more ducking now but its one sided
Oh please. Caro released a video not too long ago and there was no ducking in it whatsoever, and shes been playing like 4+ years. Everybody loved it and I don't think anyone said anything harsh, except me. And when I did Blitz got mad.

But I disgress, I liked the video. I haven't been playing long enough to readily notice one-sidedness so I wasn't bothered by that. I think you but especially pat could use some more magic hop. Definitely pat. I think it looks terribly awkward. Personally I don't like the way you always serve to clipper. It looks weird because there's no hop. Try to start from toe then hop into the clipper?

It seems like everyone wants you to slow down, but I can totally understand where you're coming from. Tiltless bores me. Having no uptime makes hack seem slow and lame. Every session I try to do some but it seems I cant bring myself to do it longer than a string or two. So yeah, I guess we aughtta both work on this.

Props on getting kicked out of everywhere. Once the cops thought I was a rapist. True story.

regarding the magic hop and starting on clipper - I totally agree and thanks so much for the critique! I played yesterday since these have been released with a whole new feel and consciousness for the way I do things. I don't always start on clipper. Just when I want to BOP. But even that, as you said, is pretty awkward as a habbit. So I'm going to break it.

No problem. I was thinking before bed. This is the first time I've seen you play Pat, but serving to clipper seemed to be Bens signature thing to do. I guess in that way, it makes your guy's game unique and notable. Although yes I said it looks ackward that might just be because I'm not used to seeing it. Maybe if you're sure to bend your support leg as to emulate a magic hop, it wouldn't be such a big deal. And maybe if the ratio of toe serves to clipper serves is like 75:25 itd be fine.

So i watched these finally:

heres my thoughts, take them or leave them.

The good:
- i like pats style it was really smoothe, i liked it.
-ben your style is also improving

the bad:
Pat you bail to strong side pdx mirage a lot.
Ben when you spin you tighten up your arms, and it makes spinning look awkward.

challenges:
pick up>ss pickup>rpt>legover>ss legover>rpt>illusion>ss illusion>rpt>mirage>ss mirage>rpt in the next video from both of you. I think that if you cant do that then why be drilling tricks like blurry rev whirls, and leviathan?
Ben: Ripwalk>sidewalk>rev whirl>rpt
Pat: plo>legover x 3>rpt

Im just gonna be an asshole and not even critique cuz I wasnt included in this video! :P

Seriously though, I thought it was cool mainly cuz I know what both of your guys' games are like so it was cool to see some videootage. Man, those top cops dont miss a beat. I cant believe you got kicked out of the garage! Bastards.... Cant wait to shred this summer!

ah HA! I was waiting for a post from Doug. Yeah I was genuinely surprised at the fact that we got kicked out of the garage. One of the clips of me playing was just me being an ass to the cop while ben was talking to him. It's one, as usual, where I'm tilting all over the place and being lame, but I just wanted to play in front of the cop.

@ Zeb. Thanks for the detailed response, man. Good to see! I'm kind of sorry I came off as someone who would need a plo > legover drill. Every time I see these responses I keep kicking myself for not putting in a little more effort into my strings to make me look a bit better. After all, this is the first video(s) of me in it so I should've been all over the atomic sets and quantum and nukes and really showing off some of my bigger stuff. Shrug. We'll just have to put out another video when I'm back in Syracuse again!

again thanks for the comments, you guys. Oh and I AM going to do those drills you gave. . . looks like fun.

woo, ok. cool good comments.

zeb, TOTALLY right about the spinning! i just dunno what to do with them, should i put them at my side and look like a balarina?

Thanks for the drills too, those sound great.

matt, i like your response, i giggled.

you can be in the next one doug ;)

P.S.- Matt, do you still need them youtubed? theres already one up there named "Patand Ben Shred Part 1" (yeah, i forgot to put a space between 'pat' and 'and')

edit: one more thing! zeb, i wasnt drilling leviathan, that was only the second time i ever tried it. and i dont drill blurry rev whirl, it has just made it into my game and i feel comfortable hitting it. in that video, i was just trying to bust big!
