some people to keep an eye on in the electro domain: lazrtag, thunder heist, chromeo, dre skull, diplo, blaqstarr

You dont like breaks and you like JT? Oh dear... what happened to you Jamie...you used to be cool

Went to Field Day yesterday, its a massive New Years Day festival in Sydney. Perfect blue skies and hot sun, and plenty of 1337 music.
Favourite obviously was Stanton Warriors, but also saw Spank Rock, Felix Da Housecat, Claude Von Stroke and Green Velvet which were all awesome!
Super good day

EDIT: Also made shock discovery yesterday too. Plump DJs are playing a FREE GIG in the middle of Sydney this Saturday night...when i will be at a footbag camp down the coast
EDIT: Seriously though, WTF?! Can you believe that shit? I only just got over the shock of missing The Autobots the other week in Sydney, and now this. WHY?! Andrew Grant would stab me for missing these acts

just be thankful these acts are around at all! Wish I could come to narooma... plump /dj's would be sick. Just be thankful you can make Narooma man!

And come on, breaks is boring. JT has some really cool stuff I'm keen to sample.

I got my Behringer dj unit yesterday. The buttons are fucked. I'm pissed off. ><

Just noticed Andrew's post on this page re: switching from breaks to electro; i have to admit that ive listened to far more electro than breaks in the last half a year so i maybe im losing touch too...

But very glad to hear that Evil Nine are now playing at Future Music in March! :D

Tracks im digging right now:
Robb G - 12 Inch Therapy (check out the Bass Kleph remix too!)
Stupid Fresh - Get the Fuck Up
Bass Kleph - Bump Uglies

Do yourselves a favour and get the 'Dirty Weekend Away' mix-set by Bass Kleph from Vacation Records website. Its free, just gotta register. It rules

Sounds good Ian, I'll get on that set :)

Bought a bunch of cd's today...

Booka Shade - Movements
Trentemoller Chronicles
Midnight Juggernaughts - Dystopia
Air - 10,000 Hz Legend

Also a cd by some group called Voom Voom and it was called Peng Peng. Haha, awesome. And she gave it to me free too cause there was some crap all over the disk? Didn't look like it would be a problem though, and easy to clean. Score!

Bought a pair of really nice Sennheiser headphones today... now I can actually practice some DJing... had no headphones at all before. Last ones screwed up. These are real nice quality... caressing my cochlea right now..... mmmmm.... is nice! I like!
