haha ownage, so me n u can be the first youngings to create a bomb-ass event, im gonna make that thing for ifpa tommorow n start to get working on it....we should try n get like over 100 people from all around the midwest to show up

most important thing is - location!
unless everybody from the city can make it up to the burbs, you've already lost a lot of players. but conversely, if it's in/near the city, the players out in the boonies won't be able to make it.

will the location have a bathroom(or thick brush;)), shade, and drinking water?
without these, jams can end prematurely what with thirst and sunburn and swollen bladders to deal with.

the first jam of the spring/summer is usually pretty epic though.. and i'm already looking forward to playing outside - only 3 months away!

I think were planning to shred at the community center you were at last time you were here, but this time we'll rent it out.

Depending on whats going on in my life this summer I might be able to help out of towners lodge in my house instead of spending a shit load of money on a hotel/motel.

I guess I would end up throwing a party at my house too if this event went down .

yea wur gonna rent the shit outa this fucking community center, the dates will b posted soon probabably middle of june, and then yea like obaras said he can hold people if theres more than that, theres a SUPER CHEAP motel we could rent out and have like 15 sleep in haha

but yea and for the food water thing, well theres mad vedning/ drinkn fountains at the community center, and we could go swmming in shit...and then all go out to eat, then fuckin rage at obaras party!! then wake up n shred/ net/ 4 sqaure alll day...then REPEAT

You dont rent rooms to shred in during June, outdoor shred rules. What you need for an event is promotion(people), a good surface, lots of loud music, water and some food. Btw I am not willing to swim in shit, sry.

But we can definetly get food and a shitload of water, but me n chris were thinkng we can rent the community center for a few hours, so that after we shred outside n the sun we can go insinde the back out idk just a thought

and where can we get the really loud music?

and by the way we were thinkng of this as more of an event then a jam, what do u guys thik? cuz we wanna get it sanctioned and everything and make it huge

and we def. know some places that will sponsor us

sounds like you guys are on the right track though, ill keep my eyes out for the official journeys thread on this event, maybe ill schlep out to chitown for a summer jam becuse i missed nyj this year and i havent seen y'all chicagoans since last nyj (or worlds for those of you that went)
