What are the "In" tricks of 2008?

Just like the title says, what tricks are "in" for 2008 and what tricks are out from 2007?

I read a post by erik chan saying "Enterage seems to be trendy these days."

so what moves are trendy these days and what are your predictions for 2008, what moves will become popular?

I miss ... I can't even remember what it's called now. That's how quickly it disappeared. Butterfly gyro toe.

Whirling started becoming more popular latish last year, so I hope that continues. It's a cool set.

A lot of newer people are doing rev whirls now, I hope that continues. They're fun. This includes me.

I can't think of anything else...

ps whirl will always be in.

it will always take some work to hit it, but it's not really unreachable for many players, and it feels awesome the first time you lock it in, and even better the first time you hit it B2B.

The concept of "in" moves is stupid, not to diss the thread starter. All it takes is one run from a top player that contains a concept for the concept to be "in."

I guess I'm bitter b/c back in the day, I was experimenting with some "weird"-for-the-time stuff and I was hit with, yeah, but can you hit that trick with a regular whirl instead?

In tricks are just a product of uncreative freestylers demonstrating their sheep-like qualities. Screw the in tricks.

I think the thread is about trends in freestyle, which is an observable phenomena. For example, blazing sets have been around since the late 90s or early 2000s, but they didn't catch on very much. Now though, they seem to be appearing in a ton of vids, and not just from the top players. You could also argue the same for phasing set around the year 2004/2005. The set had been around for a couple years, but it didn't start appearing in lots of players games until 04/05, when you saw it a lot more often.

And for the record, I think that freestyle Jeremy Mirken was more like 2004. Net Mirken is very now.

yeah i wont say i single handedly started the whirling/blazing trend, since that would be an obvious lie, but i definitely was one of the early ones to hop on that gravy train. (like remember that time i hit blazing blender on video for the online comps and jorden promptly released a video of gyro blazing blender? yeah.)

i think whirr is on the way out in terms of popularity. its still a very popular move to do, but it seemed bigger in mid 07 when all the hubbub was about symp whirr.

i really hope whirling inside becomes big, because im already good at it

i dont think wauxpin will ever become "popular." not enough people hit it cleanly, and not from enough varied stalls/sets, and its difficult to play genuinely out of.

I'm starting to incorporate Arctic sets into my runs. They're a lot of fun, and i think they look cool. My goal is to get Frozen and Arctic sets bs, and then after that, go for helical (think thats how it's spelled). But anyways I'm experimenting with ways to play into and out of them, so it should be interesting what i come up with. Cheers.

Seems like whirring swirl and links out of it is very hot right now.
