Amaretta coat

Post by Wheel333 »

I was in a local charity store ( thrift ) checking out clothes and found this full length black fake suedey coat. It was really soft and thin and looked expensive but I couldn't see a tag to say what the materials were. In the breast pocket there was a washing instructions tag but nothing else. I tried it on but it was fugly. I um'd and er'd about paying the $12 for it to cut up for footbags and finally did.
When I got home and was looking at it again I found a brown suedey tag embossed with the words Amarreta TM. Happy I was very. So keep a lookout in those 2nd hand stores cos some quality stuff ends up in them sometimes.

I've too cut up an ultrasuede skirt suit before I got from a thrift store for $5. I still have tonnes of material left from the thing. haha.

They are now a set of Tom's juggling balls.

When i first started stitching i did something quite like this. Only it was cutting velvet out from my curtains to make 4 panels  . Looking back at the 4 p's they're like pancakes but they helped me get to the sphereical beauties i can make now :)
