Everything between me and Fanny cakes is going very well. We've lived together for about 15 months now and I feel blessed because our relationship keeps getting stronger. Footbag for her has been put aside because of school. She's settling into her first year at Queens University and putting 100% into her learning and academic development so there has been no time to practice. Her lavers are gaining dust. This will change second semester for her when she can cope with her studies and make time for shred on the side.

As for I, still injured. There's no pain when I walk and now that I've rested for a week there is no pain when I play. Unfortunately if I try to play twice in four days for example there will be serious pain the second day of shred. I could be looking at up to 4 weeks. :x

The Toronto Raptors defeated the Bulls on Sunday and I was there to watch. The Grey cup was in Toronto that same day so a ton of Saskatchewan and Winnipeg fans were there and managed to see both games. They were DECKED OUT. They were yelling the whole game and making a great atmosphere in the arena.

After the game I went to watch a friends indoor soccer game. It was in this old airplane hanger, anyways. I thought, well it's been a week so I'm ok to shred a bit. Laced up my new G-units and started to warm up. This was all a bad idea. First off I was hungover the last three days straight. Second I hadn't played in A WEEK. One string would leave me completely breathless. After 8 years of rep basketball I've never been so winded, holy moly. It was all worth it though. All of the local Toronto soccer players were constantly walking by. And as I was shredding I could here their jaws hitting the floor. "Holy shit you guys seein that." "This guys got mad skill" hahaha

Shins hurt a tad after. :?

Happy Birthday Johnny.

Get well soon! I don't know why you're in so much pain though. Please see a doctor.

Happy birthday John Bagi!

I really am sorry that I am rude to you or hard on you sometimes. It frustrates me when I do it.

Either way I just want to say that I really like you and I am so glad that you have stuck around in my life.

You're awesome John Bagi.

I love you Tom. Thanks for the concern Peng Peng.

Today I am 7300 days old. Doesn't seem that long when I look at it like that for some reason. So far this day has been fantastic. I set my expectations low for my birthday. This way when it comes I don't feel like I need to accomplish all this stuff I just take what comes in stride. And I must say that everything that has taken place thus far today has been splendid. I figure that I enjoy other people's enthusiasm towards my birthday more than anything else. If other people can seek out enjoyment just because of my own glorification than I am very much satisfied. FEED OFF OF ME PEOPLE!!! :D

So last week members Derrik Ogden and Greg Raymond of the Kingston Footbag Militia performed, kinda like a half time show at a breakdance show here at Queens University. Everything was a success and there should be many new keeners showing up tonight at our weekly shred session to try it out. I'm still not healed but I will attend to support the club and have a lil fun before my night of drunkeness begins.

X-ray's here I come. :P :?

Screw X-rays, I'm fine. KFM shred last night was great! No pain at all.

flip ps whirl
reaper>pheonix
dimwalk>whirl>paradox whirl>whirl>paradox whirl> then a huge tiltless string
pheonix>rev swirl [both sides]
magellan>PLO 8 contacts
whirling swirl [downtime]
smudge>PLO rpt
ducking paradox whirl
alpine PLO [both sides]

Every time I play I make sure to hit: DATW in>DATW out [bsos], swirl and reverse swirl bsos, and whirl>ripwalk rpt.

I got a little bit drunk last night for my bday. I never imagined that I would get cut off at a bar. hahahha espesially not when my friend is the bar tender. Good times all around

Greg finally recieved my order of G-units and this time they were the correct size. Here's the story about Greg's shoe order:
He places an order for 4 G-units G6's from footlocker.com. We waited and waited and waited....it took forever for them to come and when they did Greg had forgot that I was a size 9 and mistakenly purchased a 9.5. On top of that, footlocker made a mistake and doubled the order sending 8 SHOES, 8 OF THEM!!!! What are we suppose to do with 8 G-unit g6's. They are size 9.5 in green and white. If you would like to help Greg out by purchasing a pair then pm me or him and let us know.

My shin splints are seeming to go away.

So me and Derrik went to shred and get some filming done for the christmas calender.

It was my first time ever really getting filmed.

Hit some amazing stuff on camera.

Then sprained my ankle really badly.

I'll be out for a month probs.

No big whoop. I'll over come this. :D

I'm not about to get all depressed about this injury.

a positive note: I hit WHIRR yesterday before the injury. Better yet, it's on camera for ya'll to see in the christmas calender video. Be sure to watch on day 8.

So I wasn't going to take any chances with this injury. Walked into emerge about three hours ago to find out that my ankle is not broken. Gosh golly, like I didn't already know that. I really wanted an x-ray to be taken so that I can be sure of no stress fractures or anything. Nope, not important enough for an x-ray.

Dr, "So, you were playing hackysack eh? mehehaha"

Why are Dr.'s so frustrating?

Although he did tell me some important info and it was nice to have a professional to give me some reasurance.

I have time off work which will be a great opportune in time for me to practice lots of guitar. :)

John, the force is strong with you. you'll come through this. ICE and stay off it! we all have to deal with sprained ankles.

My experience with ankle sprains is that the more you injure them, the more likely they are to injure again. it just keeps getting worse, so let it heal. We want you around for a while, and I don't just mean as a stitcher!

Props on Whirr. can you make it to YEAH??

Thanks for those words Matt. I hope we can play some guitar soon.

I'm walking on my foot with no pain. Which is considerably good comparing it to two days ago.

I will be buying a new high definition hard disk drive camcorder next week. I'm so siked for this. A new toy that I can go nuts with and waste TONs of time with.....can't wait. :D

I owned the GL2 in highschool:
Image

Don't ask me how I owned one of those..

But I just found out that Greg Raymond is totally into editing and filming. We are going to make some really entertaining stuff together very soon. I can feel it.

Two weeks and 4 days after the injury I gave footbag another shot. The results are amazing. All of my patience and care for my ankle has really paid off. The KFM met last night for the first time in a while. We were all really giddy and happy to be back. Derrik said he would make BAP then when I earned the right to join he would hit me with the nickname "FOOT".

John "foot" Bagi

I liked that a lot.

I'm eating pickled beans right now. My new boss gave them to me for Christmas. Thats right I have a new boss, and a new job. I'm the maintenance assistant for Science '44 Student Housing Co-op. This cooperative owns 19 houses (for students attending Queens) and I fix them. I really like everyone I work with....... which is really unbelievable. How often can you find a job where you actually like everyone of your coworkers? Well I found one, and it pays very well. All of the immediate staff has already ordered thirty two panel footbags off of me. Soon I'll be posting all the bags I've stitched recently.

Back to the SHRED. Last night I gently played for the first time in a while.

Another year.

There's so much excitement and I'm overwhelmed by it all. So much to do, so many tricks to hit, so much food to eat and so many trees to plant. Most importantly, so many resolutions and I have to actually make them last longer than a week. Some times "talk" can be known as "cheap" so I won't blabber on about what my goals are.

OK I will.
GOD needs to be in my life more, no dought.

And the list goes on.... but thats what I want to focus on first.

Treeplanting is only 4 months away. Wow thats so exciting and scary at the same time, British Columbia here I come. After that I will be leaving to Europe on a mission to help me understand that there are other people on this planet that eat and sleep and poop just like we do over here in Canada. Except they do it all a little bit different manner. Than after my exploration I go to Prague to win the World Footbag Championships. Then I hopefully will be going to.......somewhere to help people. Like a mission with a group or organization that goes into an underdeveloped village and works to increase their food supply or build houses or teach children or whatever (teach them about footbag, I will be scouting for the next Vasek phenom). Then, after all of that activity that will add to my knowledge and maturity, hopefully I'll know what I want to do with my life. I'm 20 years old and I'm so anal about what I should do with myself. I have reassurance because whatever I choose I know I will give 100% effort and succeed.

Footbag
problem: lower calf hurts a lot, can't hop on toes for too long.
antidote: lots of crazy expensive suppliments that Greg Raymond prescribes (super bone strengthening pills, mega mangosteen, 100% barley superfood) . Mixed with shorter sessions..... no more 3+ hour sessions.

I hit merlin on my flipside 4 times out of 6 tries.
pixie whirl>stepping ss whirl
smear>pixie ss mirage REPEAT
drifter rpt x's 5

The next 360 somethin days are going to be a battle between me and life.
I WILL WIN.

Footbag has been a good friend of mine lately. Every time I play I hit a bunch of new tricks and links. I'm grateful that my injuries are healing and that I"m able to take part in the progression of the Kingston Footbag Militia as well as my own. It's amazing to see Greg Raymond and Derrik Ogden think, learn, and improve. I can't say I'd be where I am with out them.
Me and Greg have a plan for the structure of our club meetings. Essentially it is to learn how to respect each other while shredding. When we are in a circle the rules are one touch, no self toss. It's a difficult habit to break, believe it or not, because whence the middle of the session comes, a tad bit of greediness starts to show. I've come to realize how important it is to respect an other persons game. When it comes to people talking about non footbag related stuff while I'm stringin I get a bit derailed and lose focus. It's good in terms of learning to play under all kinds of circumstances. But it's kind of a gray area because we get together to train and help each other learn but also to have fun. It's tough to mix the two, especially when improving my skill is primary. Our circle shred structure has yet to be perfected, as far as I can see.

bla bla blalsbllbalalblasdlf

I hit my first fearless link! Finally. Once my legs are in full working order I should be able to bust a bunch of new fearless links.

It's awesome that nearly one whole year of training has past. I just want to keep progressing so bad but it takes away from how much I look forward to the upcoming treeplanting season. Planting = no shred. Which brings me to my next topic.

I gots a new camcorder, it's a high definition, hard disk drive, $1500 masterpiece. I will be using it for my "one year" video which will come out after I gets a good enough computer to edit on (so like....2 weeks). This camera was originally purchased for a few reasons: taking pictures of Stefan and I's journey through life together, filming footbag, and filming fun events with friends and family. There has recently been an addition. My treeplanting crew boss Mike McCoy and a friend/film maker and I will be making a treeplanting documentary. We already have one grant for the film and are working on our second. I will write more about this soon.

Yeah FOOTBAG

PS I'll bet anyone that Vasek has/can hit alpine nemeis. HE'S A FREAK, LIKE DUHHH

Matt:
When me and you shred together, which I hope is soon, I will show you what I am newly capable of. I can say a lot of stuff on this blog but I like to leave it to "in person" before you know what I can do. Just seems like legit shit. I owe this new found philosophy to Greg Raymond, thanks Greg. Notice in his blog he will only tell you that he has aquired new tricks or links but not tell you what they are. PS I'm coming out with a new video in like two weeks so that will give you a window into my life/footbag life.

Jon:
I think we do know eachother from......somewhere......borthers, were brothers thats what it is. I'm TOO BROKE to travel. Or else I would come visit you in a minute. Come visit me in Kingston dude. I'm going to hold Kickass Three sometime in the next few months. AHHHHHHHHH

Yeeehaw. Hit my second fearless link last session. I had been planning it out in my mind for a few days. You know how you just go over moves in your mind while your legs do minor movements to partially represent what your brain is thinking. Yah, I do that ALL THE TIME. When I'm at work I sometimes catch myself doing full swinging dexes and motions for tricks and then I realize people are watching. Of course their thinking, "Is that guy seriously trying to act out a role from power rangers?" Then I'm all like "YIKES" because in their minds I just went from a normal dude to wannabe-power-ranger-special-person. It's great!

Back to the 5 to 5 link I hit. I'd been going over it and over it in my mind. Then about half way through the session I knew it was time. First try, EVER, for this link and I nailed it. It was about as smooth as I could of hoped.

Thanks for reading about my progression.
