House: "What is an ALPINE BUTTERFLY and why does she know how to do one?"

LOL thats awesome. House actually said that? I have no idea what he's actually refering to, but it's so awesome it doesn't matter.

Alpine butterfly (butterfly bend) is a midline knot that keeps the rope running 'straight' through the knot and reduces stress when the line is loaded in that direction.

EDIT: I think it's called 'alpine' because mountaineers use it to tie together when traversing glaciers.

I know that

Alpine is ducking in between dexes, right? What I was saying was, when he said that I immediately though of footbag. Kinda like hearing someone say "nemesis" and thinking: "hellz, I wish I could do that!"

Damn shred vocabulary is hampering my thinking processes....
