toady i played very very lightly. the hips and groin feel tight but not painful. good news, we'll see how i feel tomorrow. that will be the real indicator as to how capable i am of finally getting back to shredding.

on the spinning side of things: did some kick ass mixes today between school and work. usually i have trouble doing nudges during a mix, i'm usually too over excited when i hear it going out of time and over compensate and make the track i'm bringing in too fast. today though it seems like i've broken through the wall because all my nudges worked out perfectly!

i metioned an Evil Nine feat. Aesop Rock- "Crooked" (possibly my current fave) and today a friend sent me a link to an flash music video. the video is interesting, but i just love the song... CUT!!!

tomorrow i've got a lot of things to do. wake up, spin records, have brunch, spin records, go to rag pickers and value village to see if i can find some vintage vinyl, chiropractor, off to nyce records to check out all the new consigns, go home and spin more records. gonna be a good day. i'm both excited and nervous about how my hips are going to feel tomorrow. could go either way really... wish me luck.

good question, i'll have to check up on that. i want to say the begining of march or the end of february, but i really don't know.

however, i can tell you that my GPA last term was a 4.125!! WOOT!!

Good work on the GPA. HOw did you get over 4.0? 4 is the highest we can get here.

yeah the higest you can get here is 4.0 but i shagged the dean.

any way. i picked up 3 newly released singles last week thinking "OOH, these are great tracks!!! i MUST have them!!!" now usually i get a stack of 10 and whittle it down to my most favoritest track and buy that one, but last week i HAD to have all three. and guess what happened this week? 2 of them are charted in the top 5, one of them being at #1. i'm fucking great, i am!!!

there's a kick ass rave tomorrow with Shy FX and all sorts of other great dj's/ bands/ performances, but i'm sick and broke and not going. bummer... that's okay because jelo and rob g are coming in february and i really wanna see that. the only real downside to missing tomorrows show is that i'm missing Mista Levi Vs. The Smooths. that was gonna be a good showdown! bummer...

man, it is absolutly wild how 28 hours can change you whole outlook.
i can't stop smiling. if i could play footbag right now, this would quite possibly be one of the best days ever!

it's crazy that as soon as you say "i'm done with the opposit sex, i'm sick of looking for a significant other." bam something happens.

edit: out of curiosity, has any one ever dated someone seriously on 3 occasions with huge year gaps in between? yes, no anyone?

i have itchy feet.

i really want to play footbag right now, but i still need to hold off because all the muscles and tendons in my hips are so tight.

i made the mistake of watching some of the more recent videos i was in. I was watching the Footjam video, and the Shredmonton video and the hackrifice video and the summer 2005 video and at first was thinking about how much fun all that stuff was. "oh, that was such a good day!" or "Oh, i remember whne i hit that! i was working it for sooo long!" and just all the memories came flooding back to me. and i was happy...

then as i was watching them again i started to get sad because i realized i may never be able to play at that level again. the days of beast combos and fearless strings could well be behind me, they days of endless shuffle could well be behind me forever. tear.

today was a good day for the most part. my wonderful incredible girlfriend was gonna make me dinner this evening, but ended up having to work (the bad part of my day), so instead she baked me a cake that is in the shape of a big heart. she's so sweet. and it's huge. i had 3 big peices today and i haven't even made a dent in it. that was nice, but she also loved the drawing i did for her which was far more important to me, which i'll have to post because i took a photo of it before i gave it to her.

after she went off to work i went to the record store and bought 5, count em, 5 records. sweet!!! i got 2 really nice bootlegs and some other great tracks too. it was weird, today there was tons of breaks stuff!!! i had a pile of 10 and then had to cut back. usually i walk out of there with 1 record, 2 on a good day, but 5 is unheard of!!! any way, i'm going up to spin some gorillaz, daft punk, prodigy and chemical brothers remixes!

oh, other cool news, i was invited to open a rave in town on april 28th, and i've got a spot on a radio show on club246 which should be hella fun!
