I haven't played footbag since the last time I posted. Wow, that's over a month! I lost my only footbag shortly after that last sesh and I cannot find it. Also it's got to the point that a $25+ bag really isn't worth it anymore and I can't stand freedoms. I was thinking about buying a pair of lavers and a new bag, but fuck, I can't stand shredding inside a house. I cannot remember ever having a GOOD session inside of a house, ever. So I'll just wait until winter to play again. Only 2 months of snow left! Yay.
All I will do until then is play my keyboard and mess around with FL Studio.
(also Guitar Hero/Frets on fire)
I just made a new song. http://www.myspace.com/h4bitat

My friend Cory is better every time I see him. He can do symp. mirages bs, his clippers are getting better and he can do almost every 2 add bs. He has a hard time "stalling" tricks though. His runs are generally short, but then again, he just started playing. I'm stroked for his progress so far. He says he wants to be "presentable" by Montana Jam. I always laugh and say who cares.
My runs have been short lately, but I've been feeling comfortable when I shred. I'm hitting some new moves all the time, exploring new sets and what not. Doing some barefoot experimental shred. I've learned I can do rev-ups from toe. I wonder what the world record is because it comes back to the same exact toe, it just begs for consecutives.
Like usual, I've mostly been playing my keyboard and making music. I am on the 52/53 measure of Moonlight Sonata Mvt. 1. It's such an amazing song. I loaded a bunch of video game midis on to my keyboard so I could learn them. Bubble Bobble is the shit.

I fixed my guitar. I beat GH3 on Expert last night. It was hard as hell. Now I'm going for the El' Jefe.
right
I've been having mini barefoot seshs almost every night. My flip double atws are killing me, they've been neglected for a long time. I want to hit a CLEAN flip barfly one of these days.
smear>smudge>plo>rpt
flip assassin, 2nd time
toe dlo/eggbeater coming along
EDIT: Inspired by Colin Kennedy's blog, I hit p mirage>atom smasher.

Lol no seriously we should get up on Halo sometime. Sorry I've just been a bit busy with Mass Effect. It's like an insanely long game. Also if you play chess, Chessmaster Live is an awesome game. It's got really cool chess variations that I think are way better than traditional chess.

For sure Chris. I don't have the full version of Chessmaster, but I downloaded the demo last night and played a bunch. I suck big time still, but it was fun. I'm definitely down for some halo 3 though.
I've been having these barefoot "theory" seshes now for the past week straight. I'm focusing more on understanding why I hit the tricks I hit and why I do not hit the tricks I can't. Basically, I'm not caring whether I hit the trick or not but merely trying to understand how it *should* be done.
Main focus:
1.) Flip toe everything (basic toe sets, pixie and overall form) = Success
-I hit 3 magelans/new record
-smear/smudge coming along nicely
-eggbeaters/dlos also improving
-flip frantic/sailing seems possible
-DATWs!!!!!!
2.) Stepping form = moderate success, overall failure
-barefoot stepping is weird, but
-managed to hit some blurs/ripwalks bs
-I don't lift my knee high enough
-the bag hits my thigh EVERYTIME!!!, so ...
-stepping 5s are just not possible until I can get enough power, clueless on how to do that on my own so far
I probably won't play in shoes until MFJ, which would make it almost 3 months of barefoot seshes. I still don't have a good pair of freestyle shoes (I don't think I've ever really had one, ever) so I don't see the point in playing in them other than to get frustrated and quit.
I probably will pick up a pair of lavers for the first time since Shredmonton '06. Maybe not. Whatever is cheaper and faster. Guitar Hero set me back a hundo.

I played outside in shoes the other day. It was freezing so I didn't play for long and I didn't do much. I think my shoes are a major hindrance to my progress. Yeah, I'm still wearing two different g-units, one with the outside AND inside surface modded off, the other's tongue WILL not stay straight. They fucking suck ass! Like, HUGE HAIRY ass.
nuclear swirling toe (for about 10 minutes, then I couldn't do it anymore)
pixie ss clip>gyro pickup bsos (weird flip link for me)
tons of flip pixie (and actually learning fairy)

Your next task: Go to the bathroom.
Wash your face.
Put your shoulders hunched upwards.
Look really, really slowly upwards towards the mirror like in the movies
And slap yourself in the face.
With your game face on.
And go shred with jim.
It'll work, trust me.
