I am going on a trip to Guatemala to build houses for various communities that are living in dumps. I'm going with a small organization that can't afford to buy much of anything... everything's all from donations. It would be really great if I could get a big order of footbags (50-100 +) to bring to the kids in Guatemala.
Isn't there a part of the IFPA that makes big orders of 2 pannel bags for events like this? If not, 2 pannels don't take that long to make... the kids in Guatemala would appreciate some footbags even more than I would.

I'd talk to Scott Milne from http://www.footbagcanada.com. He mentioned to me at Worlds he was interested in "sponsoring" Canadian players by giving them a bunch of footbags to sell/give away/whatever.

You might try Bruce G. at World Footbag too. He had a large volume of "reject bags" (which are totally fine for novices and intermediates) that he used to very generously give me at an incredible discount (like $1 per bag) when I needed them for a good cause. But for a cause like this one, he might have another idea in mind too for free.

Hey I'm involved with a big promotion with Nestle at the moment, and they're giving out free footbags with their cereal, and have tonnes. Considering all the work I've been doing lately has been for free, I bet I could get 100 bags off them if you like? They're shitty 4 panel bags, not that great, and only 50% are round (and 50% football shaped), but if you're keen let me know and I'll hook you up.

Not that I necessarily defend or support the company. Faced with the choice of my ethics vs footbag, in this instance I chose footbag. There are much better reasons to criticise Nestlé than the policies they held in the 1970s, which they admitted were wrong and rectified. In fact I see their record on that issue as very positive. Everybody make mistakes, recognising and trying to fix those mistakes virtuous. Investigate their actions in the Ivory Coast if you want to put forward meaningful criticism. Of course reality is much more complicated than the Green Left Weekly.
