Pro Videos, DVD (Sick 03, BOTS a.m.m.) Trailers

Post by footjam_heger »

Since we find a lot of homemade videos, which btw are sometimes pretty cool, I'd like to show some trailers of some really really good DVDs every footbag should have in his dvd-library.

I think not everyone in this forum has a clue about this videos. Sure, there are the oldschool players and ppl who played for quite a while. But there are lots of upcoming newbies and they should really know some of these awesome dvds!

Here are 3 top dvds:
Sick03 - http://www.planetfootbag.com/videos/teaser_sick03.mp4
You can't find better editing and effects featuring footbag. This one is so damn good!

Buda's Best. 2 Trailers. Totally Cool dvd. Starring lots of good players from europe including the czech-ppl (same directors sick 03)

BOTS-DVD

There are other good ones:
The Move

The Champions League

Art of the game

Flavio knows what he's talking about.
If you want to watch QUALITY shred videos, check these out!!

The Move is my absolute favourite footbag video. Incredible. Beautiful. Words cannot describe how great the soundtrack is. Not just the music itself, but how the songs build in intensity up until Vasek's section... It's from, what, 2003? But the shred selection is so well made that you don't even notice. Also a good video to get some of the most recent Rippin footage that I know of. And that's a treat in itself!!

Sick 03 and Buda's Best are hands down the best edited shred videos out there (not counting BOTS of course, but I consider that more a movie... which it is). Buda's Best is quite long, which can be fun. One downside to BB is that it opens with like 45 minutes of amateur shred. And that's fun the first time around, but limits rewatchability, especially if you have the VHS, not the DVD... Sick 03 is great. It is also dated, from the same Worlds as The Move, I believe. Awesome stuff, with great editing, fun non-shred material, bonus features, shred from players you don't see playing on videos today (like Flavio mentioned), of course Sunil's section is wicked and fun. Shred selection not quite as awesome as The Move, but the videos aren't really too comparable, and they are done in very different styles.

BOTS is a must see.
I can't really say anything about it, other than it is incredible.
The only thing that bugs me is that there wasn't more Aleski shred :P
Every footbag plyer MUST watch this movie. Period.

Champion's League has some great shred. Some of the best Lon, if I recall. It's older, but the Lon footage is somehow very refreshing, as Lon footage always is. Oh, also a fun soundtrack, if I remember.

Art of The Game was okay.
Sadly, the quality of video almost makes it unbearable to watch. I couldn't finish it my first time through. And that really detracts from enjoying some good Ales and Honza shred. Ales is kind of one of those players where... you watch old footage of him and it doesn't feel dated. Like watching Felix. Everything is fresh and awesome, whether it's 4 years old, or came out yesterday. But again, that's my warning for AOTG.

I didn't find BOTS to be thaaaat enjoyable. Too short, not enough shred, and too expensive. Certainly not very memorable. Maybe its just me though...

I want a huge collection of footbag DVDs. :(

I wish money was non-existent and everything was shared and we could all just send eachother stuff!!! Does that make me communist?
