Had a fun session today at the secret lair. It was Dustin's last saturday session before he goes back to school. 
-I've been working on whirls, drifters, and dlos and I think I've improved.
-I finally hit blurry whirl last weekend.
-Had a few decent quantum and fairy sets, which would be good to have in my game.
-Played in the quantums today, can't decide if I like them as much as lavers or not. I much prefer the toe on lavers, but I like the clipper surface on quantums. Also, the sole of my right (or left?) quantum cracked after about 4 sessions, but its still playable.
-Had pizza with cheese stuffed crust, it was really good.
-I've been working on whirls, drifters, and dlos and I think I've improved.

Long overdue and I'm really bored.
Anyways Worlds 2007 Part I (ya its really late, and apologize for the grammar!)
So anyways, when Abram and I booked our plane tickets, it turned out we booked the same flight as the rest of our club BY ACCIDENT! So it was really cool to fly with everyone and not to mention Abram was "randomly" selected for screening, totally awesome but they didn't let me film.
Once we got to worlds we had to wait for the bus and I saw someone with lavers and was like "HEY He must footbag" Abram didn't think so, but as it turns out it was Yoga! (speaking does anyone know where his routine is?) So we settled down at the hotel, saw some footbagging, ate some pizza, slept and then when we awoke... IT WAS blazing ass hot and we kept shredding! Shirt after shirt after shirt became drenched in sweat and it was just painful, but so worth it.
When we went to register, I ended up shaking someone's hand and I was liked "Hey nice to meet you I'm Chang" and he was "I'm David" "David...? " "Clavens" Needless to say I felt like a dumbass
Just looked different in person and never saw him with a hat, regardless I still was a dumbass. We saw Jorden Moir, Jim Penske, etc etc. It was awesome to be around such players, and you could almost feel the aura of anticipation as most of them were saving themselves. It was epic.
So we just kept on shredding, and it was easy to know who was a footbagger, basically at the All Star Sports Complex, it was whoever wasn't beyond overweight. It was rather.... odd, as well not sure how else to explain it.
Then we heard the Prague Crew was coming soon and hung out with our coach/mentor/dude who makes fun of us if we can't hit a trick (not really kind of's room and heard knocking. THIS was it! We were going to meet some of the best footbaggers in the world! As it turns out I think it was Abrams and a total false alarm. Then knocking again and it was it! We saw them come in and we shook hands and said our names. I felt something settle in me, that I never expected. Here I was at worlds, meeting all these great players, and upcoming players, and shaking the hands of someone who I've only watched on videos. Vasek and Milan were stoked to jump into the pool and go "Schwim" as he said it. Honza chilled and talked things over Steve.
Later at Worlds (just skipped a lot because its a rocking story).
Honza had ordered at McDonalds a Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese, and had the biggest smile on his face. After biting into it, he explains. "I wait five years for this" then after another bite, "Do you know how long five years is?!"
When I asked him about the Double Quarter Pounded with Cheese, Honza explained to me that when they were younger. this was literally the largest thing they could order, and Europe has a metric system so none of the pounder thing. So it was amusing to say the least.
More to come? If anyone is interested we have more stories!
Dylan Fry talking to me about stuff, Byron putting a snake out of its misery, Vasek doing 3 dropless private routines. Vasek almost dying (not really but he really hurt himself at Steve's house), Milan chasing Honza with a spider! Then some! Plus stories of Shrednie!
-After Worlds Story
Steve had told me a story of when Vasek was staying over after 07 Worlds. Vasek wanted to wash his clothes, and Steve asked if he needed help. Vasek didn't want any help and Steve felt weird about it so he checked up on Vasek later. DING! Steve was right and saw that Vasek had put his dirty shoes, and clothes in a the dryer with the liquid soap. When asked why didn't he ask for help, Vasek replied something to the lines of.
"The both look the same, and chances at 50/50"

Worlds 07 Stories Part II!
Sorry these aren't going to be in any order since I can't remember what happened where!
So I recall shredding with Andrew Grant, and I believe Zeb, Ben Skaggs(sorry for messing up anyone's name). Along with the Stanford posse, but I only remember the first session the best.
Preparing for Intermediate Routines
First off I'd like to thank Dan Ednie and Abram Santana for helping out with my routine, and Emily Kulczyk for pretending to be the audience, and helping too!
Well I was so worked up over what to do in my routines, that I didn't sleep at ALL!! Not one tiny bit, nope nothing! I ended up sitting in a bathtub trying to sleep in there for the fun of it, but as soon as it hit 7 or 8 in the morning, I ended up going outside and worked on my routine. This is where I met Sam Conlin (messed that one up for sure) I talked with her briefly and told her this was my first worlds She also told me that someone else was working on their routines, and that would have been Jay, from Canada. I found him and started talking and we worked on our routines. A nice and cool guy, and we parted ways as I still was wide awake and continued to drill said routine. Then it was time to go to worlds and I was wired beyond belief.
Once arriving there I felt that butterfly feeling that I felt just before reading my Spoken Word poetry. I was used to it, and I don't mind crowds anymore, or rather I do somewhat. But the best way I learned was to smile, make them laugh, and just throw yourself up there! I was hoping for the person to go before me in my pool. But as it turned out he wasn't there and after Abram Santana went I'd be up. This put more pressure on my for some odd reason and I was all pumped up.
So it was my turn and I went up there. The card thanked Dan, Steve, Abram Santana. Also my sponsor was Aselus a friend of mine who gave me extra CDs to burn my routine on.
Ok breath. I'm standing here all eyes on me and I point. Do do do do - right toe left toe right toe Legover = WHATEVER. Well I was suppose to catch the legover and go whatever. Well as it turns out I didn't. I could either ignore it and pick it up or just go WHATEVER! I went with the whatever. From there I felt good again as the audience chuckled. I proceeded to go through the routine well, until I dropped at another Whatever. Then I dropped at the whirl, and then dropped at every cymbal climax. I proceed to try to lessen my drops and stick to easy tricks. Not to mention I totally forgot to do the part where I showed off my flipside, that Dan told me to do. I managed to follow through with the end of a mirage > flying clipper > catch "thats cool" and mouth "that's cool" Despite it being a routine that could have been much better I had a lot of applause. My club members came to congrats me and I felt great and others came down to complement on my choice of music.
From what Emily told me, Steve loved the routine (think he was being nice), and that he didn't know I didn't mind dealing with crowds "I was a different person up there" or something along those lines. I felt in away it was a victory and him trying to cheer me up said "I should have advanced". I didn't think so, as there were many others who did much better than me. But I know I scored really high in the artistic aspect of the routine which rocked!
Emily Kulczyk's routine
I forget where but it was at the climax where she hit it, and then Steve Goldberg stood up in the air hands raised! It was a great moment, and we were glad that Emily competed and placing so well!
Byron's Mercy
While at Terra Verde, I was walking with Dylan and talking and we came across a snake that was lying in the road as it had been ran over by a car. It was broken and twitching in pain, a sad sight to see. I didn't know what to do and neither did Dylan as I guess we both didn't advocate killing animals, but we did want to put it our of its misery. As Dylan said something a long the lines of "Thats a moral problem" or something like that. Byron took the task and we all walked away kind of a moment of silence and waiting for the sound. It was like a gunshot as Byron put the poor snake out of its misery. Something that stayed with me at worlds for some odd reason.
There thats enough for today! More later! If you guys still want more!

Yes Erik people have confused me with you! When asking to buy some footbags for our club Genzu thought I was asking to ship them to Canada He then realized the mistake and quickly shipped them (THANKS A BUNCH GENZU!!) which was really cool.
Also I got an email from someone (but I told them to email you) Something about a jam and stuff and I was like... um.. I never went to that one

Memories of Worlds 2007 Part III The Return of the Jedi
Ok more to come but I totally got lazy and am going to hold off for later Props to you Alex with the Superfly! Also thanks for reading, I wasn't expecting anyone to click on this besides the club members!

The Czechs thought Steve Goldberg had a Heart Attack
Anyways thanks for keeping up, and now for more grand stories. Here is another about me (I know I am so self centered no?) Anyways during worlds I ended up catching that nasty flu or cold/footbagger sickness that was going around. I ended up waking up the guys because of my coughing and I was totally out of it. Abram on the other hand was being a douche and said it was all in my head and that if I thought positive... it wouldn't affect me as much! Well lets say due to a congested nose i woke up the guys from snoring (Yes Abram my OTHER PC Gaming friends confirmed they have never heard me snore while sleeping!) and not to mention coughing. Another factor was the friggin sprinklers making the room mildewy and probably had mold growing under the carpet.
Well my cough got so bad, I ended up sitting outside not wanting to wake up the fellow club members. Some guy on a segway asks if I was ok, and I replied
"NO! I am not ok! I am coughing non-stop probably because of your carpet!"
Segway: "Want me to call the paramedic?"
Me: "NO! I do not have insurance and they are not going to touch me because of that"
Segway: "I'm calling them anyways"
(asshole) So the paramedic arrive and are sure not to touch me since I told them not to. I would not be able to pay the bills, and I'm not sure what the insurance covers them. So they tell me to take cough medicine or something like that (TOO BAD it doesn't work! Its just friggin alcohol! Just give me a beer keg instead and drown me!). During this time Honza, Vasek, and Milan walk by and then continue their way. The next day they asked if Steve had a heart attack
Short short sentences
-After eating Milan asked us to take him and Vasek the Gay Bar
-While in the hot tub Vasek and Milan were chilling, and we ended up finding out Vasek makes Milan his butt buddy when we're not watching (joking)
-Honza is terrified of spiders, and Milan exploited this
-I bought Vasek cigs since he didn't have his passport with him
-While driving the Czechs back from the Santa Cruz beach, a car infront of us slammed on their brakes (no idea why) Milan screams out "MOTHERCOCK! and HOLYSHIT" then Honza says something to the extend of "We almost die, and now the fucking Porsche passed us!" You see he had been laughing at the cars that we had been passing.
-Oh yes Vasek almost died (not really) while at Steve's driveway Vasek did a crazy string and ended up doing a symp. trick onto the uneven part and hurt his shines. It was shocking since he was suppose to go to Kimmel live in a few days! Not to mention Abram witnessed Vasek jumped some three four stairs with one leg
-Vasek told us he wants to his I belive Fairy Phasing Gryo Backside Nemesis (or rather that he could someday) I think it was something like that? Isilwar and a few Stanford members where there to hear it. He would have attempted it for us if he didn't hurt himself.
Ok more to come but I totally got lazy and am going to hold off for later

Well lets say due to a congested nose i woke up the guys from snoring (Yes Abram my OTHER PC Gaming friends confirmed they have never heard me snore while sleeping!) and not to mention coughing. Another factor was the friggin sprinklers making the room mildewy and probably had mold growing under the carpet.
Well my cough got so bad, I ended up sitting outside not wanting to wake up the fellow club members. Some guy on a segway asks if I was ok, and I replied
"NO! I am not ok! I am coughing non-stop probably because of your carpet!"
Segway: "Want me to call the paramedic?"
Me: "NO! I do not have insurance and they are not going to touch me because of that"
Segway: "I'm calling them anyways"
(asshole) So the paramedic arrive and are sure not to touch me since I told them not to. I would not be able to pay the bills, and I'm not sure what the insurance covers them. So they tell me to take cough medicine or something like that (TOO BAD it doesn't work! Its just friggin alcohol! Just give me a beer keg instead and drown me!). During this time Honza, Vasek, and Milan walk by and then continue their way. The next day they asked if Steve had a heart attack
Short short sentences
-After eating Milan asked us to take him and Vasek the Gay Bar
-While in the hot tub Vasek and Milan were chilling, and we ended up finding out Vasek makes Milan his butt buddy when we're not watching (joking)
-Honza is terrified of spiders, and Milan exploited this
-I bought Vasek cigs since he didn't have his passport with him
-While driving the Czechs back from the Santa Cruz beach, a car infront of us slammed on their brakes (no idea why) Milan screams out "MOTHERCOCK! and HOLYSHIT" then Honza says something to the extend of "We almost die, and now the fucking Porsche passed us!" You see he had been laughing at the cars that we had been passing.
-Oh yes Vasek almost died (not really) while at Steve's driveway Vasek did a crazy string and ended up doing a symp. trick onto the uneven part and hurt his shines. It was shocking since he was suppose to go to Kimmel live in a few days! Not to mention Abram witnessed Vasek jumped some three four stairs with one leg
-Vasek told us he wants to his I belive Fairy Phasing Gryo Backside Nemesis (or rather that he could someday) I think it was something like that? Isilwar and a few Stanford members where there to hear it. He would have attempted it for us if he didn't hurt himself.

Worlds 2007 LAST PART / San Diego Footbag Jam
I totally forgot this part
Worlds 2007: (more if I remember)
I was in the a car with Dan Ednie, Red, Jake Wren, Nick Landes, and Abram Santa (yes we were packed a bit). Anyways we had already eaten at an all you can eat pizza buffet which totally rocked our world. We visited the homes at Terra Verde (typo?) then made out way back to the hotel. We were talking and I think it was myself or someone else that said "HEY DUnken Doughnuts!" We all wanted doughnuts apparently and Red made a hard right into the right lane and nearly killed us!!!! We then ate the yummy food and ice cream as Dan Ednie began to ask us these really tough life questions. I answeared as best as I could, and Abram replied with I don't know don't care its all cool kind of way. After leaving Dunken Doughnuts we exclaimed "HEY LOOK DUNKEN DOUGHNUTS!" and joking pretended to go back there.

Anne's coming up from LA tomorrow. I don't know when she's leaving, but do you guys want to come over for a session on Wed. or Friday (if she's still here)? PM me, e-mail me, or call.
