You could kill them both...

with kindness, by asking them politely to turn down the volume. Works every time. Works best for me when I say, "Hey guys, I'm sorry to ask you this but can you please turn the volume down for me?" There's only like a 1% chance they will say no, but if they do then all you have to do is unplug the tv then cut the power chord with a scissors. Then say, man you should have chosen the first option, douche! But you probly won't need to do that.

Just think, at least your roomie isn't bringing home random sluts from the coolest freshman bar in town and banging with you in the room. Oh but then she has to leave after she realizes the dude shes fornicating with fell asleep in the middle of it! That one was classic, too bad the others weren't as entertaining. Freshman year, how I miss thee.... Theres no way I could have politely asked two drunk fucktards to stop doin' it when I'm in the room! I guess it'd work in your situation though.

Havenâ€™t really wrote to the blog in quite some time. I guess Iâ€™ve been pretty busy, that and I just didnâ€™t have much to write. Lots of club meetings lately for marketing, lots of homework and reading for classes. Not even sure what I have to write about today.

I played footbag today. My best link was stepping ss whirling swirl>whirlwind which really isnâ€™t that hard when you think about it, but first try, so thatâ€™s cool. Nothing else that good. I kicked myself in the calf, and that really sucked, itâ€™s still sore as I make it tight right now.

Right now Iâ€™m listening to some band on myspace that is coming here this weekend. One of my clubs is sponsoring the concert. They are from Tampa. Iâ€™ve been doing a little bit of magic lately. I really like watching videos of street performances online and watching them in slow motion and trying to figure them out. They have this thing in the dining halls called late night. Itâ€™s like a really weird mix of food and people go there to eat. Itâ€™s like breakfast shit and greasy pizza, its wack. But I ate it tonight and now my stomach feels really weird.

I have an interview for an internship soon. Itâ€™s a magazine publisher who make athletic magazines and health/eating things. It is pretty dope and I really hope I get it but this will be my first real interview so Iâ€™m not really sure what to do. I should go to Career Services to practice but I donâ€™t really have the time.

I donâ€™t know what I used to fill these pages with before. Nothing interesting happens to me anymore. I just go to classes all day and sleep the rest. With footbag about 3 times a week. I want to rent a nice camera and make a really cool video of me to like, preserve my skills in some way. Just in case I get hit by a bus or something.

That's pretty much been the motivation behind all my videos these last 2 years. I feel like I'm in the twilight of my career, and still playing near my peak, so I want to capture it so in later years I can reminisce and play vicariously through vid. And the whole "hit by a bus" thing is always used as an example, but Matt Kain Lewandowski quit footbag because he was hit by a bus, so it actually CAN happen. Crazy.

what do you think of the new panic single? it makes me a little nervous for the next cd. it doesn't seem to have the same energy as a lot of the songs on the first cd (both halves of it).

For interviewing (and close topics) this book is the best that I (or my dad who is Mr. interview) have seen. Very quick read, easy to understand an apply. Not a boring read at all.

Knock'Em Dead - Martin Yate

Edit: In fact here's what my dad (top guy for IBM) says:

Knock'Em Dead - Martin Yate(s) - not sure if there is an s on Yate. About $12. There are several Knock Em Dead books out - get the classic book which is updated every few years. It has excellent advice including chapters on how to prepare for and conduct the interviews, how to negotiate an offer, etc. It is a best seller and is more than a "get a job" book - it is really a business book that makes you think far beyond the job search and hiring processes. Everyone I have recommended it to has come back and said it was very useful. Also, most managers and HR people have read it. I have been in interview situations where questions asked were right out of Yates' book.

edit 2: And don't fall prey to the syndrome that I did when I was your age.. That is, I considered myself pretty darn smart, and pretty darn unique (differentiated from the next guy). So I was like "psssshhhh.. I don't need any stinking prep for an interview! I'm MEEEEEE. Of course they'll love me and hire me. I just gotta be myself!!". And then I didn't get the first 10 things I interviewed for. So I came down off my high horse and prepped and played the game a little bit, and got the next job I interviewed for. Not saying you'd do this, but I saw it from myself, and see it from people I interview all the time. MOST people are NOT prepared for an interview and therefore suck at it. When someone comes in and is prepared, they have a big step up on the next guy. Later.

I used to think stuff like that, but I do know that David is a busy young man who has a lot on his plate so theres no need for stuff comments like that. But that being said, theres probly no need for David to yearn for more responses in his blog... which I think hes been getting better at anyway.
