Tricking with Jorden yesterday was fun. We also had lots of really good talks about the state of footbag today, he and I plan to hang out more in the future.

Today has been awful for me.

My heads all gay and ADD and I have been really blue. This lead to a bunch of 'tom sucks' discussions and a few shots in the arm so to speak.

I am still feeling sucky and frustrated by myself.

I bailed on a fun sounding ice bike race in Toronto tonight, I'm just not feeling up to it.

I hate food and having to prepare it. I am hungry and starting to feel shittier again.

I just want to go to sleep and not wake up until I am due to have a good day. I put a hole in my wall with my elbow, why do I destroy everything around me?

I think I am gonna go practice bike tricks in the parking lot alone, I hope I get hurt really bad.

I think things are looking up. I managed to not get high yesterday at all, fuck, how lame of a statement is that?? Am I really this weak and pathetic??

I need to step up and just take the reigns of my life, I feel like a slave to intoxicants that are only holding me back.

I would be SO happy if I just stuck to it and committed to the workout routine, why don't I???

I am feeling better today, maybe I can turn this into some momentum towards all the goals I have.

I am going to make some progress on my Germany papers today!

Sometimes I am tempted to ruin a day and take some ritalin to get a pile of shit done, maybe I ought to. But that would just make me want to get high to get out of the horrible effects of coming down off ritalin. Bleh, I really hate my brain sometimes.

I have all this potential for greatness but then frustratingly I have an equal amount of retard ADD that constantly sidetracks me.

RAAHH!!!!!! COME ON TOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey man, sorry to hear about the slump.

Just know that you get mad love in this here community, and it's because you're awesome

I totally know how you feel about food, and I'm trying to figure out how I can survive off of just one bowl of rice a day. Hey, if Shaolin Monks can do it, so can I right? I'll let you know how that goes.

And with the weed deal dude, I believe you can do it man, if you really want to. I've been sober for a week now and it's friggin awesome. I'm not saying I'll never go back, but I've been really diggin' it.

Chad, a bowl of rice is fine if all you do is sit and meditate all day, otherwise you should probably get a little more fuel into you.

I just had a sucky bike drilling session. I went to the nearest covered parking lot I know of where I had great success a few nights ago. Things were going okay, minus a slip on some slushy ice that left me with wet and cold everything. Not long into my session I noticed the security had noticed me. I jerked them around a little bit making them chase me through the lot, since I knew that my getting kicked out was inevitable I wanted to waste a bit of their time and annoy them a bit.

Eventually I just biked to my car where they caught up to me and gave me the same dumb speech I've heard from security guards my whole life as a skater. 'We're just trying to do our job blah blah blah'. I wound up raising my voice and getting a little heated at them since they were taking the time to ruin my day, whatever, total lowlifes.

So I packed my bike into my car and drove home, determined to get some more drilling in. I have cleared out as much space as I can in my garage for bike tricks, it's enough space to do pogo's, backwards circles and a few other things.

All was going well until I made an attempt at a 180, I landed and it looked like my front wheel had become maligned so I did my best to recenter it, hoping that was all that was wrong. Well, on the next attempt I landed hard again and discovered that I had completely destroyed my fork, it now points boldly off to the left, great.

So, now my headset, fork, rear wheel and bottom bracket are totally fucked up and I have no money to fix any of them. Shit, I need to be a yuppie to be able to afford my stupid hobbies.

Also, this is supposed to be my crucial filming period leading up to my part in the video I am hoping to get a part in and now I don't even have a bike to ride.

I think I am going to buy a new fork and ignore the rest of the creaks and pops my bike makes.

This is all a gamble, I am hoping if I bust hard enough I will get some sponsors to help me out.

Sigh, maybe if I hadn't been an ass to the security guards my karma woulda been a little better and I may have had a bike to ride still. :(

SHIT that sucks about your bike man. Drop it by a shop have them just take a look at it before you ride it to hard.

Here is just a proposition for you IF things work out for me. I'm riding in a race in a week or two and have a chance at winning a complete bike (drawing for those who are in the race, which should be about 20 people). So IF I get lucky and win the bike I'll send you the frame+fork for the cost of shipping. But that is considering I am lucky for once haha. I'll let you know what happens.

Otherwise I'll let you know if i stumble across any deals or group buys (i.e. IRO frameset for 160 shipped was one last year).

Here is a clip of me hitting a back tuck:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=gP3-fvzsb8k

I was going to film lots more but the camera Peng lent me ran out of juice.

Today is 3 days sans weed! Go Tom!!!

I worked soooo hard today! Peng came to visit me and we did some haaardcore yoga that was brutal but awesome but then brutal again.

At one point in our hanging out we were cuddling, I had Peng on top of me on my right side and Lotus curled into my left armpit and I was so comfy and happy and at that moment everything in my life was perfect. I was warm, I was fed, I was surrounded by love and trust and I had nothing to worry about. I knew then that that was a moment I will probably remember for a really long time.

After our fun day together I drove her home and had dinner with her family. They always make good food that I really enjoy. Tonight was no exception. I really enjoyed and appreciated a home cooked meal. My parents have been away for like.. a month and a half and I really miss having food made for me and sitting down at a dinner table to eat it.

Following dinner with the Du's I headed to gymnastics.

The session was good, Allen took it easy on us and instead of the bruuuutal warmup stuff he normally does he had us pair up and do some deep muscle massage stuff designed to work out the kinks in a wicked painful way. I was glad to not have to bust my ass again after that hard yoga.

There were alot of the really crazy guys tonight, I really can't describe how unbelievable they are. They wound up having a big circle battle (lighthearted of course) thing that really showcased how gnarly they really are. It sorta made me feel really lame for not being able to do like.. anything cool. They were mostly busting breakdancing stuff, it sorta made me want to learn some of that stuff too.

Right, I need more things on my plate.

I am sore and tired, I worked hard today!

On a sorta footbag related note my ankle is slooowly healing up. I noticed today that I am able to crank my foot over, yay!

I haven't played any footbag in weeks, and that's okay. I want to let this really heal before I go pushing it or fucking it up again. And anyways, I am busting my balls getting stronger, fitter and more flexible so when I do return to the sack I will hopefully be able to level up.

This no weed shit has really got me fired up! I want to see what I am capable of! No more bull shit! No more being a stupid retard lazy slacker.

I know what potential I have, it's time to convert it to startling reality.

The classes I attend are for amateurs looking to learn cool stuff like that.

I don't know how common they are though.. maybe call around to local gymnastics places to see if they run adult classes.

The people that go to mine are a mix of martial artists, gymnasts, dancers and general atheletes like us.

I looked into a replacement fork, the only one that'd really do the job is $175 and I'd have to wait a month for it from the supplier, great.

I think I am gonna ask them if it being featured in the next Bootleg Sessions is any incentive to drop the price and speed things up a bit. If not, I guess I will just bone up, ouch.

Tom, I think you should be able find a much cheaper fork than that. A good quality cro-mo one is only about $50 I think.

Just a thought.

Nathan, the reason I am interested in this particular fork (the fork from the brooklyn machine works gangsta track) is because I need a bombproof fork that can fit a 700c wheel.

I looked into BMX forks which are made for harsh landings but the largest I could find was for a 26" wheel. I am currently running a 26" mountain bike front wheel so I can do barspins but ideally I would have a fork that would give me clearance to use both my deep v's and still barspin.

Also, Dupuy, that's a suuuper nice offer, thanks!!! I would come out of stitching retirement and make you some bags if that came together!

I've probably watched that back tuck video of me eight thousand times, it's the first one I've ever seen myself do and it's very satisfying to see.

Thanks for being my friends, guys.

:)
