haha you did come off as a little harsh to someone who didnt know better, and its funny that matt would be the one to scare people off since he's one of the nicest people i've met in footbag.

would you also be so over-reactive that you'd think that anyone who doesn't support your baseless, noobish opinion must be some resentful, jerk troll? and subsequently accuse said "anyone" of being exactly that?

I made a negative comment about the bag, not about the poster or the poster's opinion. It was intended to be informative, not derogative. Then he called me a troll, and I defended against that, attacked the product more, and offered an example of a better product. Then, I said that we don't blame the poster for the inferior quality of the product.

The inferior quality of the product is inarguable. Not once did I make any kind of opinion about the poster.

then, I responded to him calling me names again.

I think his extreme responses are clouding your reading of my posts.

Once again, take a read, there's nothing personal and no namecalling, which is more than I can say for this poor guy that I've so cruelly and unfairly chased away.

I think everyone should just stop with the flaming. The damage has been done already.

oh boo hoo, waylon. What damage has been done?

I think more damage would have been done by NOT flaming this post (not that I've flamed it, once). Then, someone might have gone out and spent their money on these shit bags. At least now it's clear to the worthwhile community members that these things are not good and not worth spending your money on.

I think its the "do yourself a favor" and "good try, though" and "mmmkay" - if i didn't know better I might think it was a little condescending rather than innocently suggesting a better alternative - of course I do know better but clearly this guy didn't.

That said - the post is hardly abusive and things shouldn't be blown out of proportion - yes its a shame that someone hs left the boards instead of sticking around and getting to know the community and how it operates, but I'm unconvinced Matt has done much wrong.

Matt, i think your posts were all pretty valid. I just believe those that chimed in with their own posts, and becoming much more condescending than yourself, did more damage than necessary.

Sorry if I sounded like a whiny bitch in your eyes, but that was my take on this whole topic.

It's already been said countless times that these footbags are awful. I doubt it's necessary to see the next few posts expressing the same exact message.
