 Whirl>Rev Whirl BSOS
 Pixie op toe>rpt x4 (takin' it slow 8) )
 Whirl>Ripwalk (one sided :? )
 Whirl x3 on strong, Whirl x2 on weak

i guess one of my goals is to get Whirl>Ripwalk>rpt

flip pixie felt gooood. yessssss.

next combo i want to try is legbeater>whirl>ripwalk>whirl

I think I'm going to complete some challenges from my challenge page tonight like whirl x3 and stuff. it's about time.

Also drill illusion. I feel like out of flip pixie, whirl, and illusion, illusion is the weakest link. i really didn't think it would be that way. maybe thats why i didn't drill it as hard as the others.

I feel like i dont know how to truly shred any more because i have these new concepts in my game like drifters, whirls, and flip pixies but they are not all ready for shred. i want them to be because im sick of my old game which doesnt include those. its a confusing time right now but i think that just means that its still time to drill.

oh i have a :?: , what is the difference, when you are doing DOD, between "toe set>plant setting foot>same double dex>op clip" and "toe set>same double dex>op clip"

you just say rooted. Rooted double over down. It's a style thing more than anything.

it's awesome you have whirls and are making such good progress with linking them to stuff. Might I suggest something, though? Instead of drilling hardcore or moving on to bigger and better things how about just kind of settling in and being comfortable with whirls and drifters and all the new stuff. Just have a bunch of sessions where you just kind of flow with it and see where your mind takes you. String length, combo ideas, and that sort of thing will benefit from it.

something to think about I guess. What I like to do is go in waves of drilling and trick-hitting and thinking about footbag as if it were a physics problem, and then other days I just put on music and do osis > far osis rpt and otherwise really try to OWN the tricks I'm hitting.

edit: also, when I'm in town, you'll want to figure out cool and different ways to do those same ol' same ol' tricks with the new and snazzy ones. because that's the way we do things in the Greater Syracuse Region.

I "fast" read the words in that post and thought you said you got a bowling t-shirt and so this post was going to say that I want to get a new t-shirt that says something witty and funny. But uh. You didn't say that at all so I won't post this.

C.R.A.S.H.-B. Sprints- World Indoor Rowing Championships are this sunday. Last year was my first year and I placed 134 out of 152. I didnt get a personal record and i was disappointed so this year I am planning to get MUCH better.

Wish me luck!

Is that water behind you or is that the floor? I can't really tell what you're sitting on...

How does indoor rowing work?

Thanks for the interest Zac.

those are a picture of some Ergs (ergometers, indoor rowers, most people call them ergs)

Image

That's a picture of what it looked like inside the arena.

You get such an adrenaline rush from the crowd going into the last 500m, it's amazing. one of the worst and best feelings ever.

http://www.c2forum.com/replays/index.ph ... 08/CHeat13

That shows my race as seen from that big blue screen in the arena. They have computers hooked up to the ergs so that the crowd can see how we are doing and cheer us on. the number on the right is the split time or in other words, how fast you are pulling per 500m if you multiply that average at the end by 4, you get the overall time. you are ranked by your time at the end of the 2000m. 2k is the 'official' race distance. 1509m is one mile but no one does that for some reason. there are other races though like 20 mins, half marathon, marathon. ive done 2 half marathons but i really dont plan on doing a marathon any time soon. hopefully someday though.

here is a video of the lightweight (165lbs and under) open men race. although it may look quite effortless from the untrained eye....believe me...it is a bitch. Many competitors get carried out on stretchers after their race.

12th, then? Nice.

There's a rowing machine at the gym I go to, I'll check it out.

Usually, when it rains, I get naked and lather myself up in mayonaise, get between my bed sheets and pretend I'm a turkey sandwich.
