The Midas Touch

Post by Laroche »

Hey guys, so I got my own little radio show going on now! So you can catch me live, the show is called, as the topic says,

The Midas Touch

So come check me out, today, between 8:00pm - 9:30pm, and I'll be playing lots of downtempo goodiness. If you guys got my MSN I'll take requests too, just send me the song if I don't have it on mp3.

p.s: It's called The Midas Touch because every track I drop is Golden :D
p.p.s: Yes, that IS why it's called that. You may laugh now.

I find the name highly amusing.

Dr. Cross!!!! Glad you liked it. I thought I was on MSN, but I was wrong. Oof, oh well.

The next episode will be a bit more structured, but its still cool. Had like 12 listeners at one point, and hung around 9-10 people most of the night.

See you next week!!!!

So glad you liked the show Matt, your support means a lot to me. It was a bit disorganized but...

Check it out this monday! I'll be playing some instrumental downtempo stuff because I had a couple requests for that sort of thing, and I'm gonna try and find a way to do some cool interviews with long distance technology, and that sort of thing.

Also, in a couple weeks there will be a special Promotional show, where a bunch of us local producers are getting together to share some tracks, and I'm going to air a bunch of the stuff live, so it's going to be some montreal exclusive stuff.

Tune in monday!!!!!

Winamp works fine, but it's all I've tested it on. It should work fine through any program that supports streaming, like Windows Media Player, iTunes, etc.

BTW, if any footbaggers were listening thank you for the support and please tune in next week!

I know some of you f***kers make music too, if you give me permission I will GLADLY play it through the show and get you some exposure.

Keep in touch.

Next week will be an amazing special show consisting of local producers getting together with me to broadcast some exclusive montreal beats, tune in for that, it's going to be HUGE.

HUGE I SAY.

Peace.

Alright!

Re-read my last post to get an idea of the madness going down tonight... I'm actually combining my show with the hh4u.ca owners show, called Le Chilling, to do a 3 and a half hour special show tonight!

Le Chilling Touch!

There's going to be 3 freestyle MCs and a bunch of producers over tonight, so get ready for not only exclusive beats but some live freestyle, beat-juggling and music madness tonight.

TUNE IN: 6:00pm - 9:30pm EST, hh4u.ca.

Also, and this is a bit last notice, but if any of you guys got tracks you've made and want some exposure, just let me know and I'll gladly play them.

Don't forget, though, the theme is downtempo, chilled out vibes. Anything which is remotely touching any of those adjectives will get a spin and lots of ears.

Czech it out later tonight!!!!!!!!!!!

PEACE.

p.s: It's going to be a bilingual show tonight.

OK so it's that time of week again!

Check it out at 8:00 - 9:30pm, no frills, just a straightforward good music episode tonight.

Matt, I'm trying to figure out the best way to do it, my idea is a live interview but not sure exactly how to set it up.

Still working on it and for sure it will get done soon!

Thanks for listening, big ups to EVERYONE who tuned in, I appreciate it and all us local artists struggling to "get by" (haha title of the last track being played), very much appreciate it.

This is EFFORT and MONEY for you guys, so the more of you that listen to more it encourages us to try harder and work to get the real, surpressed talent out there.

Thanks again!

Tune in next week.

im just curious...

im making a track right now that is 3 mins long.. and the first min is ... downtempo electronica.. ish?? and then it gets metal for the last minute and a half.. its not even done i was just wondering if your show wouldnt be appropriate for that

I normally try to veer away from metal but it honestly depends on the track... once you get it done, I'll take a listen and I'll let you know.

I definitely want to play some of your stuff though Sam, Philisoptical is still one of my favorite electronica tracks :)

Hey Sam,

listened to both your tracks, and though the first one you posted is more honest, I especially liked SamSquared! Very cool use of those raw synths and I love it when half way through the track it just sort of explodes to all these sounds and noises.

The little switch up later on is cool, but gets a bit messy I find, with buttons/keys being pressed for no reason, but it gets all good after that for the ending.

Great track, will give it a spin pho sho!
