My trip to Montreal
My trip to Montreal
Hey guys!
Thank you so much for your replies! Now I know how to contact you and where the shred location is.
Unfortunately, I am not able to make it to Quebec this week…8 people dropped out of the ski trip and it was canceled. Sorry for letting you know so late, I should have done this earlier. I apologize if any of your plans got messed up because of me!
The good news is that I still want to shred and snowboard so I’m planning to do it the coming week. As before, I’m planning to stay in Quebec City and come to Montreal for like a day. If I had a place to stay and you guys had the opportunity to shred, I’d be definitely happy to stay in Montreal for more than a day. It takes roughly 3 h. to get from Quebec to Montreal, so I might even consider coming more than once.
The bus leaves Halifax everyday early in the morning, so the only thing I need to take care of at the moment is accommodations and other important travel arrangements. Once this is figured out, I will let you guys know. Everything will be posted here.
Again, thank you everybody for talking your time and getting in touch with me!
Sergey

Mathieu Gauthier,
So there's no way you could play on a weekday at all???? I reeeealy want to meet and play with as many people as possible, and since the majority are available on weekdays I think it has to be a weekday. I really wish you could be there too, but who knows, I might make two trips to Montreal if I like it alot.
ianek,
Yes, I am definitely coming on a weekday! I haven't picked the day yet, but I most likely I will arrive to Montreal early morning and leave same evening/night.
MatS21,
Thanks a lot of the offer mate! but I think I should be fine since I'm coming for only 1 day.
In Quebec I'm staying at:
http://www.cisq.org/
March 4rd - March 9th.
My questions to the Montreal crew I guess would be:
1) Do you guys have a preference as far as what day of the week you want to play? As I said earlier, any weekday would be good for me, I just want to meet as many people as possible.
2) Anyone know a cheap place I could stay at during the day? It's just I don't want to get exhausted during the day and not be able to shred to my full potential at night.
3) How many shredders are expected to show up? (or how many shredders do usually show up during weekdays?)
4) Will I be able to buy some bags? My last bag is 95% done.
5) If you were to spend in the city 1 day and you have never been there, what would you do?
6) If there's anything else you think I should know, please let me know.
My email is: [email protected] . Definitely my choicest way to get a hold of each other. PM is nice, but email is a way faster.
Thanks for reading this, I highly appreciate your time!
What can I say...I'm pumped for the trip. I hope to get a chance to meet all you guys and have tons of fun!

I suggest Wednesday since Ianek and Sebastien usualy play in the evening (from 6pm to 8-9pm usualy)Sergey wrote: 1) Do you guys have a preference as far as what day of the week you want to play? As I said earlier, any weekday would be good for me, I just want to meet as many people as possible.
My place isn't really possible, need a key to lock the place, and there is no one else at home when I leave for work. Maybe you will have more luck with the othersSergey wrote: 2) Anyone know a cheap place I could stay at during the day? more then 2 is very rareSergey wrote: 3) How many shredders are expected to show up? (or how many shredders do usually show up during weekdays?)
If Kolo comes by, yes. try contacting himSergey wrote: 4) Will I be able to buy some bags? My last bag is 95% done.
Depends of your interests, there are a lot of different things. You're looking for a bar or for museums or what kind of activitySergey wrote: 5) If you were to spend in the city 1 day and you have never been there, what would you do?

wednesday is ok for me.
2 to 5 shredders might show up, usually it's just me and Seb on wednesday night.
You can contact Kolo for bags (footfighters). [email protected]
You could go on top of Mont-Royal, take a walk in Old Montreal, take a walk on St-Catherine street from Peel street through Berri street, visit the Biodome.

Thank you ianek!
I haven't recieved an email back from Mathieu yet, but I'm arriving to Montreal at 11:45 am. The bus arrives to Station Centrale d'autobus Montreal 505, de Maisonneuve Es.
Hopefully, me and Mathieu will have a session in the morning and I will come to NDA around 6 as you suggested. Do you think I can show up even earlier in case I want to stay inside and maybe take a nap? When does the center usually open?
I'm 6'5'', look pretty Russian, will be wearing a huge ass blue alaska jacket, military pants and a bright green Burton backpack. You can't miss me!
Once again, thanks to all those who have been helping me out. I really appreciate it guys and don't take it for granted.
