I think that dbl pickup was a whirr went wrong (say that 5 times fast).
i really valued the style and flowiness of this video. Johnny looked really fluid and strong throughout. it was so aesthetically pleasing. I LOVED the huge double pickups. I thought triage was all right, but I watched it on youtube, what do you think, johnny? it almost looked like a 2 dex the way you did it, super cool.
come to think of it, watching your video for a second time actually inspired me to put on my shoes and play, and that says a lot
good style. solid. good links. i feel like your nukes are amazing and you should utilize them. i also feel that you did that right side double pickup about 8 times in that video and the right leg dyno at least 5.
also, string length. The only thing seperating a ton of mediocre players from great players is that their string length is short. great links, but short strings, doesn't yield the best game. sorry, but there were no strings more than 20 contacts.
honestly i prefer there not to be always a huge level of shred, i prefer easier move varied concepts over the same 20 or so 5-7 add moves that a lot of the people in that 'upper level' seem to throw down a lot in their runs.
me too occaisionally, however, i'm glad we are entitled to our own opinions. =)
i don't agree that simpler tricks in small runs can be superior to difficult tricks in huge runs. its more of the length and consistancy that i am amazed at rather than the difficulty, but i also enjoy the flowy cisp style. i guess i just wasn't turned on by it because of the run length. anyone can hit big combos, but can they mix them into massive strings? isn't that a huge part of the game too?
Wow this video has got a lot of attention. I just found this and must say that I felt a bit let down after reading all these comments and then viewing the video.
You have a nice style to watch and those symple tricks really keep the attention on the game for the whole video. What I did not like were some of those muted tricks.
About string lenght, I wouldn't expect any longer runs from a solo session from anybody. I liked the run with Full Sidewalk and Symp Tapping Symple Legover the most. What I liked about the whole video is the fact that your runs only have an average of 2,63 BOPs per run! Great work, the next step is Genuine, mon!
what I like about the video is not only style and creativity, but
also the setting. the lighting was excellent, no distracting background,
and the bag is always clearly visible. way to go!!

I disagree. I really liked the muted tricks. There was a quality to that which I felt was extremely expressive and reinforced the notion of freestyle. You make it look effortless, and that gives it a sort of bop like quality, but bops are a foundation for generic, standard, universally expected shred, and I am equally interested in seeing where this sort of style, mindset of playing will lead you. This was one of the most innovative shred videos I have ever seen. I felt like I was watching a new wave of technical skateboard tricks. Rarely do footbag styles diverge so much while maintaining such a high technical skill level and excellent form.
