look, ive been very clear that im not bashing barrett at all, or his idea. ive also said that if they take footbag seriously than its not a problem and footbag can always use exposure, my ONLY concern is that it isnt treated properly. god forbid i used the word "sucks" amongst adults to express an opinion, lighten up a little.

And props to Barrett for taking initiative. It amazes me how many people these days can do things like hit beasts or 10 fearless, and how few people organize tournaments, do talent shows, and start clubs. Footbag needs more people like Barrett.

Damn I want to do this doc soo bad. My boss said to me, that there are 2 routes to producer. The first being work your way up in the system, which sucks (no offense to him, I love the guy, he's my mentor) but its the truth, you gotta pay your dues before those above you will give you credit. Theres always a guy above you and you have to be able to do his job as well or better, for less money, until they deem you worthy. Which is generally...

Thats usually how it works. Could take 10 years to become a producer here. Can't do it! Got too many ideas!!! They are burning a whole in my PDA, literally. I have about 50 ideas in there for shows, movies that I think would be great.
It's a catch 22. I want them made and it could happen here, but not with me as the producer.
The second option, is produce something independently and show people you know your shit. Which I am currently doing, have a ton ton ton of support for this new doc. Will tell you guys about it soon, legally speaking I don't think it is the right time to talk about it. It's going to be my first feature. It is going to get made if it kills me in the process. I am tired of working for other people, on their projects, I want to do projects that are meaningful to me.
If I get this one under my belt it will be much easier to get the footbag doc made the right way.
Sorry for hyping you guys up about the True Life episode, again. With or without MTV the footbag doc will happen in the next 5 years.
Also the NYFA Tourney Doc is coming along really well, Malcolm has been working on it for a few months and what I've seen so far looks amazing. Can't wait to show it to everyone. Thanks for the support.

You got my support Barret, I thought it was a great idea. In the end I felt Jorden would've been PERFECT for it. MTV may be a bit cheesy at times, but it's really hard to make a documentary look cheesy. You're telling an engaging story, and giving insight into a person's life and struggles. I think maybe Paul was thinking it would be like the Real World or something like that, in which case I'd probably even say that was a bad idea. But it's not, it's a documentary.
I wanted to do a documentary on the AIDS Ride. It's such an amazing thing that happens every year, and these people have these really amazing stories. I went one year to support a friend, and I was really moved. I thought it would be kind of this depressing thing, but it was one of the most positive and uplifting moments of my life. Good stories are definitely worth telling.

we could make a reel of foobaggers getting injured and send it to craziest extreme sports crashes or what have you.
and yes, cleaver and chris hit it on the head, i was assuming that mtv would dramatize the story to involve conflict instead of it being a true documentary
i just thought that when a footbagger is behind the producers desk they would make it better than an mtv producer who only has second hand experience, though i guess for a documentary that isnt that big a deal since its for a non footbagging audience, but i digress.

Clavens is the worst that Ive heard and he beasted that injury and yes Dave that would have been a great story.
I dislocated a kids jaw playing "kill" in highschool. Completely by accident I might add. He went to bite the bag as I was going to kick it, kid was out for like 2 minutes. Thought I was gonna get sent to jail, haha.
