Mark and Rob believe this to be a new trick.

My friend Mark came up with what I believe to be a new concept. The first idea was to kick up two bags at once, and as they separate, duck the top bag only. Then on the way down, legover each bag on each foot. I suggested perhaps to mirage the bottom bag only, catching both bags on the foot of the non-dex leg. The video is of Mark's first successful hit of a similar trick. As it turned out, he dexed both bags, although the dex of the lower bag is admittedly not clean.

Future attempts at this trick will clean up the dex and perhaps dex between the bags as originally foreseen. I expect this might be achieved with a leggy illusion dex.

Either way, I'm pretty confident that this concept is new to the sport. Mark hopes to name this trick, but first we must know whether anyone in the community has seen or hit this before.

Thoughts?

is the concept the idea of dexing only one bag when playing with two? because that has been done before, rippin rick's 2 bag opener from the '92 (?) worlds.

it's way cooler from a kick anyway.

Indeed, the elastic nature of the collision in the kick is necessary. From a delay both bags would rise at the same rate and not separate as needed for the unique duck.

I've seen many footbagvideos, but never found something like that. I can do a "crossbodysomething" with two bags but setting two and dexing only one is a indeed a new concept. Some oldschool players from the 70ies may have already done that...
How did you come across with such a creative idea?

I've seen shredders doing tricks with two bags, but both bags usually stay together. I thought it would be cool to try to have two bags in the air at once, for them to somehow split apart and for both bags assigned different tricks. So, I didn't just dex one bag, I dex both bags separately in the same trick. The first bag gets the duck , and the second gets the mirage. I accidentally miraged both.

Sweet trick. Now after the duck do a butterflier on the first bag followed by a quick stall on the second bag and straight into a juggle.

Two NYJ's ago jorden and i were experimenting with stuff like this. Im not sure about jorden, but i have hit tricks with two bags, but only dexing one.

Tricks i have done this with:

Whirl
Illusion
Legover
Butterfly

So like.. my dexing leg goes between the bags, and i catch both.

HAS ANYONE HIT THIS TRICK, or any other two bag trick where BOTH BAGs get a separate dex? I am confused because replies have been referring to dexing one bag. Doesn't my head count as a dex. Those that have replied saying that they have hit tricks with two bag in the air, congrats. I think that is awesome, but have you ducked the other bag? Those that have been trying anything close to this, please hit it and tape it so I can see it.
Peace

Ducking gives one a body add [BOD].

Adds are adds.
