OUTSIDE!!!

Post by Evileddie »

OMG it will be so awesome to play outside again! Last session was pretty good. Still working on getting whirl consistent on my strong side and haven't hit it yet on the other side. I really like ducking osis though, I'm gonna try that more. I hit that one move Shawni showed me where you do osis with the same side over and over 3 times in a row last session. See you guys on Wednesday.

p.s. It's EDDIE never eddy

Far osis is fun. I hit : PDX Mirage bs. and I hit Osis>step over>(Insidestall) whirl. BOYA! I want whirl dialed and soon! I also want to get better at PDX mirage so that eventually I can learn PS mirage. ;) I have goals! I can't wait to shred again! I want to practice form so that I don't look like a goof. I need to work on where my arms are at, I noticed sometimes I raise them above my shoulders and I know that looks bad so I need work. I can't wait to improve! Everyone in the Eugene crew is getting so GREAT so fast!

Tomorrow I must bow out

Post by Evileddie »

So I'm not gonna make it to the session tomorrow. I've made it a point to really give what I have to this group and stop flaking, but dude I just bought like $1000 worth of music gear and it's coming tomorrow! I'll have a session alone though and I'll make sure to post any new stuff I hit. We are all definitely getting good dude. See you all Saturday for sure.

Oh and I just got new shoes. I stuck with the Lavers again this time rather than Quantums. Didn't feel like spending that much, probably next time. These things are stiff as fuck heh.

Great outdoor Wednesday session today. Hit some clever runs with new moves mixed in. Casey, Alex, and Toby all were insane with new moves and combos. In fact, Alex, a tiltless player just the other day, hit ripwalk > paradox whirl no problem. Just crazy.

New stuff for me:
Quantum Whirl
Double Spinning Butter, no seal
Symp bubba bsos

Session

Post by Evileddie »

Holy fuck really Alex hit that shit? That's fucking badass dude! We're definitely starting to gain momentum. The session yesterday went alright for me. It's pretty tough with the new shoes of course. I haven't done ANYTHING to them at all yet, not even lacing (yes lazy). But despite that I hit ducking osis twice on both sides. Nothing else new, but I worked real hard on hitting whirl on my weak side. It's definitely coming my brain is just still trying to catch up. Worked more on ducking butterfly and consecutive ducking clippers too. Seriously dude in no time we're all gonna be super good if we keep it up! You guys rock see you Saturday!

It was fun to watch the boys shred hard yesterday. It was kind of nerve racking to play on turf with balls flying at your head, but it was fun. Don't forget, it was obvious that Casey has be practicing solo lately even though he hasn't been able to show up much. Toby is really close to paradox whirl. I had a really long solo session Monday and Tues I think I was just burnt out. Another one of Nick's bags popped in the stitching so we are now down for one bag for Eugene Crew. His new bag he gave us is playing well though. I need to bring two bags back up to Portland to see if Nick will replace them.

Captured mirage>toe whirl on phone camera Aaron said it was good. Maybe better session next Wednesday.

Wednesday's session was pretty awesome. It's just a lot better playing outside, as long as it's not too cold, the fresh air is fantastic.

Although there were a few times that those soccer players kept interfering with our session I wanted to crush their soccer ball and shout: O' Doyle rules!

It would look something like this:

We had a session today. It was amazing. Sunny, turf field, ....soccer balls..., four people showed up besides myself. Eddy, JAMES, Alex, and Tyler. Alex had a broke dick foot but managed to hit insane stuff anyway ...? James was super consistent with some long ass runs and a guiltless string twenty deep in big jeans. Eddy showed up a little late but managed some solid four add ducks mid run. It must have been the high carbohydrates or something but I played for a very long time at a better level.

New hits:
Super deep gyro blurriest
bullwhip, first try
S.D.Pdx Illusion BS
Gyro blizzard
Double Blender > Zooming clipper

James says he'll start coming out more! Hopefully everyone will see the sun and realizes what their missing. because it was great. Too bad Shawni was busy with family, I missed her.

^_^ I missed you too...er...footbag session, I missed the footbag. ;) I'm glad everyone did well and I'm excited for the next session! I really wish I had my own footbag again....it makes me sad to see my lavers and not be able to play at any given moment. I'm sure the rest of the crew feels the same way. I wonder what Alex will hit next time. He's becoming really amazing. Aaron...what is S.D.Pdx Illusion? You should show me next time. By the way EVERYONE should watch that video of that insane sick drill. EVERYONE!

Airius did this drill and every time I watch it...yeah..you'll get my drift.

Bad news. I re-injured my right ankle on Friday night. I have proven once again that I can't drink and play footbag, as fun as it is. I realized how to hit stepping at wednesdays session and hit all sorts of new moves.

>Rip walk
>Side walk
>Blurr
>Shmo
>Stepping legover

It SUCKS having to take it easy due to my injury right before our trip to San Diego. I want to practice hard. I was still able to have an Ok session on Saturday. Aaron hade some just amazing runs and new links. Cool stuff. :)

I have been busy writing an essay and studying at my computer today, so I missed the session, but I did happen to hit:

spinning>ducking>clipper

today in my kitchen. Which I haven't hit before. So that was fun. :D

They are all off in california right now for a while. I'll be in town if you guys want to kick. I don't have a footbag right now though so you'll have to bring one.

Hey Eoghan, myself and Shawni won't be available to shred on Saturday, I'll be doing my bodybuilding competition. The rest of the crew will be available though, just get a hold of James or Alex on here and I'm sure they'll help you out. I will be probably kicking on Sunday in Portland, just because I'll be up there tomorrow night anyway. Who knows.

In other news, Santa Cruz + San Diego was awesome. Really kick ass time with lots of fun smoking, joking, swimming, playing, and eating. Although I couldn't eat anything but my body building foods, I did indulge in some very expensive chicken breast from a fresh market that might as well have been a cheat meal. YEAH PROTEIN. So anyway, Alex and Shawni are great, they both were the best people to bring along for the trip, too bad Casey missed out it was a really unforgettable time.

Break down of our trip:
Friday Morning - Lifted weights at 5:00 in the morning, Left for Santa Cruz, and got there with almost no problems. (Except for the fact that my tire lost air on a curb, which screwed my first night of vacation sleep over, because I had to deal with it in the morning) Emily was outstanding, big shout out to her for the hospitality. We managed a short footbag session there, which we enjoyed although we were tired from the trip. The next morning we had coffee, and left bright and early for San Diego.

Saturday: Got to San Diego at about 5:30, which wasn't bad at all. Only a six and a half hour trip out of Santa Cruz. Damon, Richy, and Jay took me in like I had never left, which was perfect. I really felt at home and relaxed down there, no worries but the bodybuilding competition. Which I ate perfectly for.

Sunday - Tuesday: Holy shit what a good time. We bought footbag almost immediately because we didn't want to not have bags and spend all our money, which was a smart thing to do. We walked away with seven abshire fearless 55's. The Eugene crew is stacked now!

Now, although I didn't drink, Alex and Shawni sure as hell did and kicked it pool side for three days in the sun. We had two great sessions with Richy, and although I am at 4% bodyfat, I still kicked as carefully as I could. I remember hitting some good combos like bigwalk > double blender, and whirr > gyro illusion for them but the biggest and best surprise is how solid Abshire's game has become. I didn't get too kick all too much with Jay and Damon because they were busy with work and couldn't kick as long as Rich, but it was crazy. Richy is like the godfather of footbag, and he freaking owns his foundation now which is great. He nailed five 5' adds for me first try, which is quite the inspiration coming from a 37 year old, and definately has created a style of his own. His hospitality and companionship while in SD was priceless, you made the trip awesome BUDDY!

Before I forget, we also took a trip down to mission beach on one of the nights to ride the coaster and let the kids drink down some good stuff. I don't want to explain it all but it started out with a mini Heineken keg and ended with tequila and alex puking. Shawnell discovered her love for Coronita's down in SD, and enjoyed drinking them to full affect. I loved the trip, and they couldn't stop talking about it on the 17-hour drive up.

Thanks again Richy, Damon, and Jay, you guys are the shit.

Oh yeah, biggest eating temptations while on vacation! These hurt the soul.

#1) Right off the bat, Shawni made her special peanut butter and syrup waffles, which I wish I could have had. Oh well, began the trip anyway.

#2) An ice cold glass of HeiniKeg, damn that would have been good in the sun!!!

#3) Richy's steak and Eggs, holy shit, had to have one little ounce of steak!

#4) Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream with Reese's Pieces! Screw you Alex, that was just evil, I am going to eat so much of that shit after this weekend.

#5) Pizza in weed, California. That shit looked so good, god damnit.
