what the fuck is so awesome about this game? its a fighting game that has been redone 2 times. the 64 one was awesome but your playing the same thing. where the fuck is all the hype for this game coming from?

I'm thinking it's similar to Madden hype, but people have to wait longer between games so it's escalated.

Ha ha, but seriously. It's actually one of the most balanced fighting games of all time. And you get to use old school Nintendo stars and retro game characters and shit.

The SSB series kicks ass. Yes, the game play for SSBB is the same as SSBM if you're using a GCN controller, however you have the option to really get into it with the wiimote.

The game's totally bitchin' so far. Only unlocked a few characters. SSB series for life.

kyle, let people enjoy, what they want to enjoy, and not question there judgment.

Why do people play sequels to games?

*because they liked the game/story so much that the next one in line seems to good to be true, so they want to instantly play it

*because the liked the previous versions so much that the idea of a new makes them want to play it.

*because they like that style of game

in this games case:

*they like it because its been talked about ever since the release of the wii, and with the addition of new characters entering the field, makes the game have more worth to the fan base who play them. Who cares if its basically the same game. Halo 1, Halo 2, and halo 3 were the same game.
Resident evil 1, resident evil 2, resident evil 3, resident evil code veronica, resident evil directors cut, all those are basically the same, and i KNOW you like those games, so your statement before seems kind of hypocritical.
*they like it because its a graphical upgrade on a classic game, with new characters.

if you want me to ill think of more, those were just right off the top of my head.

step back and look into different perspectives?

As for "hit a till you win"... you have got to be kidding me.

If that's how you sum up any SSB game, then you clearly know nothing about the gameplay, period. You're approach to the game is blind, I'd bet you don't like the game because you're just not good at it.

Hit a till you win.. I actually lol'd. Why don't you look at a video of some of the pros that play SSBM at MLG tournies, that isn't no "hit a till you win", that's some amazing gameplay.

Probably just a Wii/Nintendo hater.

And I agree with the whole Halo bit too (Halo is my alltime favorite game series, hands down.). All three games are (basically) the same. Yes, there's controll differences in Halo 3, but it's all basically the same. Yet, I

playing all 3 different versions, and I

playing Halo 3's storyline through on Legendary, and the multiplayer (though not as good as Halo 2's IMO) was fresh, new, and really good.

Maybe you like racing games. I hate racing games, I think they're pretty simple. And sports games, Madden... what's the difference between Madden 07 and Madden 08? $60. Is it ok for people to like racing games and Madden games? Of course it is. Is it ok for people to like Barbie horseback riding games for the PlayStation... No... it's not.

But it's not cool to jump on other people's hobbies, and verbally tear them down.

I've been to an MLG tournie for Halo before. I didn't compete, as I didn't have the money to do it at the time. But it's still pretty exciting.

You're starting to sound just like the ignorant fucks that look at footbag, and footbag tournies, and call us losers, or idiots.

I actually have competed at many local tournaments for Halo 2, only one of which I didn't make 1st place with me and my friends. I've probably made $1,200 just for myself in the 10 or so tournies I've competed in. Maybe you shouldn't be so quick to judge.

FYI, one of my favorite new characters is Pit.

Love the new Kirby, really love the new Ness kid... w/e his name is. Forgot his name already. And really like the new Falco.

lucas, pit, and diddy are my things. I want to get good at snake. That'll be a challenge. And sonic is good for me, though none of my friends like him. But I still end up winning half the time.

I love the fact that huge characters are very playable. Like bowser is actually really good now. And dedede is just hard, but very useful at times.

I like this game.
