Cold/Numb Toes
Cold/Numb Toes
When i shred my toes get pretty cold and numb up a bit. I have a few ideas of why this is occuring.
It may be that..
-My shoes are too tight constricting bloodflow, causing my toes to numb up and lose heat.
-Socks are too tight, causing the same issue above.
-Overall poor circulation to my toes.
-My feet grew, but i never felt this way in small shoes before.
If anyone has had this same problem could you please post your experience and if you did, how to solve/correct this.
Its more of an annoyance than a real problem. I'd just like to see if anyone has this same thing going on. Btw, its not something that just popped up. Its been happening for a while now.

I wore my lavers, my main shred shoes, to school today. I didn't feel the numb sensation at all. My toes were only cold when i was outside waitign at the bus stop and when i walked home from my bus stop.
I think they might have been tied tight or something. I'll shred again and see if it still occurs.

it usually happens to both feet. and it starts from my outer toes in(big and small toes). I think its just poor circulation. My fingers can get extremely cold outside too. so yeah.. Again its not really a pain, just an annoyance.

Yeah Ken has a poor circulation problem I think too. A lot of times he wears light gloves while he shreds. The feet thing can probably be attributed to just how cold it currently is where you live, especially if you play outside. Idk, maybe throw on an extra pair of socks? Normally I wouldn't do that because I like to be as light-footed as possible, I guess it just depends on how annoying it is.

My dad has diabetes and his pain is no where near mine. I don't even have pain. My toes just get numb. But i guess that could be a possiblity, but i had recent blood work done and haven't heard any bad results from it...im pretty sure they can pick that up in a regular blood check up.extenze wrote:

Well Grant, sometimes socks make my toes a little colder...if they are kinda tight and they kinda cut of or slow circulation.
I've stopped having it for a while. It comes and goes for me but when it hits its pretty annoying. Like my toes get ice cold and turn yellowish. It happens to me mostly if i take a break from shredding, and then when i get back into it it'll come back for a bit. So i basicallly shred everyday just so it doesn't happen

If I were you I'd make an appointment to see your general physician. Find out your blood pressure, total blood count, etc.
Do your toes turn blue or purple when they get cold? If so, it could be hypoxemia, which has 4 causes: hypoxic, stagnant, histotoxic, and anemic. I'll rule out histotoxic because I doubt you're breathing cyanide. Stagnant would be a circulation problem, which means blood isn't reaching that area of the body. Hypoxic hypoxemia is when you have poor oxygenation at the lungs, which could be from smoking too much, or any other lung problems. Anemic hypoxemia is if you have too few blood cells overall.
The two of these that I'd say are most likely are stagnant and anemic, which is why blood pressure and total blood count would be a helpful diagnostic.
