Noob From Oklahoma

Post by BassMan »

Hey everybody, I'm BassMan. *waves* I'm 17 and I live the middle of nowhere (western Oklahoma). I've been attempting to footbag for about a month now, just got a Mr. Sandbag a couple days ago and that's helped tremendously. I'm saving up for Lavers, I've been kicking in a pair of Chuck Taylors and they've been ok for what I've done so far.

So far all I've worked on is inside kicks, and I can hit around 30-35. What's a good number to shoot for before moving on to the next thing? And what would the next thing be, outside kicks?

Thanks in advance for any advice. :)

That's up for debate at the moment. Here's a thread that has a poll and opinions of some of the community: http://modified.in/footbag/viewtopic.php?t=17584

I guess the best time is when you feel ready and make sure you're not rushing into freestyle. A solid foundation is key to footbag.

Work all your kicks. Toe, outside, and inside mostly. You can also work more unusual kicks if desired (sole, heel, knee, etc).

Then move to delays. Toe, inside, and outside. Again, you can work the unusual delays as well.

Definitely read this: http://modified.in/footbag/viewtopic.php?t=14866

Hey man, there's another group in Oklahoma. PM Freestyler4life!

There's also a tournament in Wichita, KS in June. If it's not too far maybe you could come? We would be glad to give you some advice and all that snazzy stuff.
