Hi everyone!
Larry Doyle has passed on, he will be missed in the footbag community.
For those who knew Larry Doyle, he was not your typical footbag player, but he was as much a part of the family as any of our friends. Larry was committed to the sport of footbag, and we could always count on him to show up at our events. He was a huge advocate of footbag golf and net, but also was a talented freestyler and surprised many onlookers with his pendulums and delays. For anyone who has come to our New Years Jam event at McCormick Place and the Holiday Sports Festival (our big annual event), you should know that if it wasn't for Larry Doyle we would have never met Eric Cokee and would have never gotten the site for the event. Larry is the reason we have that event, he was always the "hacking mailman" and would promote the sport to everyone he met! We love you Larry! Thanks for everything!
We have tentatively set the date for a memorial of April 26th, 2008, 6:00pm at 801 Roosevelt rd. in Lombard IL at a bar where Jay Claffey works. Bring your best Larry stories and any pictures you might have of him and lets raise a glass of beer in memory of our old friend.
You will be missed among the footbag community... farewell Larry Doyle.
Farewell Larry Doyle... a death in the family

... Another funny story about Larry...Geoff Hand, myself, and I think Gator were going to play real golf in Vancuver at World's 2000. We didn't have a fourth and for some reason Larry wanted to come along. We didn't know if he was going to play real golf or Footbag Golf. Sure enough we're about to tee off when Larry showed and teed off...with his footbag! The first hole was a 400 yard par 4 and Larry got like an 11 with his footbags. Hilarious! He played 7-8 holes like this before finally giving up.

BAD NEWS
Larry was a great guy and Ill definitely miss him. I had a nice shred with him last NYJ and I wont forget him ever.
My first ever footbag tourney he was announced as having been to every worlds ever since he was introduced to footbag. He was probably at over 15 footbag worlds events, was the master of footbag golf, and his signature moves were forehead stall to blind pincher and the like.
Miss ya Larry,
