Does light help you sneeze?
When you get the feeling to sneeze, does light help you do it?
For me, a significantly brighter light than what my eyes are currently adjusted to, will help me sneeze when I get the feeling to.
I am always looked at weird when I'm seen staring at a light at the ceiling, waiting for the sneeze to come. I've only met two other people in real life that are the same, my dad, and my brother. Is this just me and my family, or... what? lol.

Yeah, sneezing does rock. My anatomy teacher told me one time why light can help you sneeze. I think it has something to do with how well your pupils adjust to light.
It doesn't help me though. Rarely do I sneeze when I get the feeling.

When I walk out into bright sunlight from a relatively dark area I sneeze.

When I sneeze normally, without light, I usually sneeze twice, and I'm done. But when I sneeze with the aid of light, I can sneeze more than 50 times before it finally stops. One time I was working at Hardees (soooo long ago) and I had a sneezing fit from the lighting back there, and I seriously just couldn't stop sneezing ever 5-10 seconds. After half an hour, they sent me home, and 5 minutes after I left, the sneezing stopeped, ha ha. I had SUCH a big ass headache.

when i was in a printing class, we had a giant paper jogger (so its a big vibrating piece of wood) and if i would put my head on it, it would make me sneeze immediately. I did this for a whole hour and sneezed like... 10 times a minute for 55 minutes.

Sneezing kicks ass... but not that much ass.BainbridgeShred wrote:I dunno if it's the light or just the tilting of the head, but it definitely always has helped me. The worst is when you feel one coming on and you tilt your head back and it just doesn't come. Worse than blue balls I swear.
I've heard sneezing is one/tenth of an orgasm but I dunno if that's true.
But yes, I agree. I'd rather have blue balls than to feel a sneeze coming only to be let down... It's totally frustrating... emotionally and physcially, lol. And then you try doing weird breathing through your nose, and squinting your eyes at the light, trying anything to make yourself sneeze. Then you give up, and sit down, and then you're not comfortable for the next 30 minutes because you know you were gonna sneeze, and you just couldn't do it...

Do any of you get hayfever regularly? I get it every spring and it has led me to absolutely detest sneezing at any time. Its fucking horrible, but it may just be worse in hayfever form that just regular sneezing.
