Freedom, Kolo, Worldfootbag, they have an agreement with the stitcher to resell.

I would not want to be put in the situation where I did not know and it wasn't under my control. If YOU wanted to resell your bags because you don't care whom it goes to, then fine, get a 3rd party to do so.

Not that I stitch anymore, but the two situations are different. I'd like to think the few bags I do make go to people who play. At least when people resell bags on modified, it's for people who play freestyle, and not hackers. Just like you've already said about why you don't sell on ebay Jake. I don't like that level of control taken from me.

And for that matter, I did not profit from selling glovers needles with everything factored. Just made them available for everyone instead of people having to buy 3 packs where only 1 size was good for stitching.

in first place,i disagree with the fact that you sell bags made by stitchers on modified. at least, did you ask them BEFORE ? if you did and they said "yes dude, thats fine, huh! " ok, im ok with that.

and i might be wrong (but i dont think so), Pengpeng was selling needles but they are NOT made byhumans who take alot of time and effort to make them .. just manufacturing. so, imo, thats different.

and i dont think that if a beginner want a pro-level bag will go on ebay .. anyway, when i was a beginner, i didnt want to spend 30 $ for a bag when i can get one for 1 $ ..

and like for everything on the web, you search something, youll get it. so if someone want a pro bag, he probably start by search "pro hacky sack" then find the word "footbag" and go to footbag.org and continue searching and he will finish by finding modified

and for a funny ending, i dont think peoples for www.modified.com will know anything about footbag

I was kind of doing that now. There are only a few of you I bought a bunch of bags from. If I only got one or two of your bags. I will not try to resell it. There are a few that are hard to get. The only way is if I was really unhappy with the bag. I like to paly with all of them to much.

Every time I'm at my shop, freestyling with a footbag someone always ask me where did I get it. I tell them modified.in.....They say what? How much did you pay? So if your not in shock when I tell them. I quicky show them my other bags. Most people don't even know what freestyle is. But almost every golfer I know kicks. That is why I was going to put them in my Disc Golf store on ebay. Not even put the word "Hacky" in the title. Just like I don't put the word "Frisbee" in my listing either. (Did you know Wham-o owns right to both of them.....FUNNY) I don't want a bag to go in the wrong hands. God forbid a "Hacky Slacker" get a hold of a real bag. That would suck.....They may start to learn how to freestyle. Then way to many people would be playing this sport.

If only the Western Hemisphere had something like Lotus' line of elemental freestyle footbags. You have cheap and affordable freestyle 32s, made and designed in the fundamental demands for freestyle footbag, and they can be catered and be profitable to the general public. They also play pretty well.

Me and Barrett Neimeth are in talks about something like this. Purely in the experimental process, starting from scratch.

This is why I don't like the concept of ebay, because people don't usually see first hand the value of a freestyle 32 like most footbaggers. I know a few people, in fact, that will only buy 32s that are priced at $15-25 (you know who you guys are). Really, the whole price and demand debate for footbags are still up in the air, and not everything is concrete on what people will invest their money in.

If this process was catered to the community, I suppose it would work, but then there's the case of keeping all of the proceeds from the auction (especially if the auctioned price exceeds the retail price). It's a bit complicated, and can be seen as selfish.

thats exactly what i do.

I buy bags in bulk and I sell all the bags I don't find any interest in, then keep the rest.

I don't get it, they don't like the bags why should they keep them instead of recovering their money and buying one they might like more.

Is there an emotional attachment that a stitcher will develop for a bag?

Maybe they should be adopted for a fee with all kinds of forms and visitation rights

that way everybody will know their footbags are in a safe and caring environment

I buy my bags in bulks of 5-10 bags

People at my school are always asking me for bags so I sell them some and I keep the rest for myself. I actually sell my bags for less than what I paid just because people at my school dont understand how much time stitchers put into the bags.

Its just sometimes when you buy bags in bulk your bound not to find interst in one or two bags and you sell them to someone who does.

Is that a problem?

I find this commendable, because you're sacrificing the amount of money you've bought in bulk, and selling them at a lower price to spread the quality of footbags to those whom are unaware. I think this is great, and is a service to the community. However, it is not economically wise to do this, I think, but I guess the benefits outweigh personal income to some rehard in this manner.

I don't really care for the whole "keeping bags you like and selling those that you don't" debate. There are actually bags I've made that I didn't like, broke them in, and they are some of the choicest bags I have at my arsenal that I truly enjoy. People have sent me pretty bad bags, but I always find something good in them. I've even taken the dark way of footbag stitching in which I deconstruct other people's bags and remodel them in their own sewing method.

So, I'm pretty apathetic in a lot of guidelines for footbag stitching. As long as it plays well, that's what matters. I guess part of the argument that we're all trying to achieve here is the economics and ethics concerning trade, retail and value of footbags for the sport of footbag. I think there's a topic about this somewhere here before, started by Jeremy Mirken. Maybe it's time to bring it back up from the grave.

i don't mind of someone trades or sells a bag that I made. I like them, but that doesn't mean that everyone else will.

Well here are my 2 Matt Cross bags, have had the blue one since january and the orange/purple spiked arrived today. Neither of them required any breaking in and both play very well. Had a good 2 hour solo session today with the spiked one and got to leave the session on a positive note.

Its good but the bag never really broke in too well and its has about a 85% filler mix meaning 85% of the bag is full.

Here are my newest bags.

First one, just got in the mail today. It is a Wasabi mini, 12/8 blur.
Feels great and I will have a session with it tonight.

These three are from Julien Cote Bouchard. Some of the best shred ready bags out there.

These two are great:

This one is a 12/8 blur with 2 sets of six pents being different colours and also in a triangle shape. Great fucken bag.

Love all of them. So nice, so pretty!
