Really Should Stick To Bass...

Post by BassMan »

So I guess I'll start one of these here footblog dealies, maybe it'll help motivate me to, like, actually learn how to freestyle one of these days.

Anyways, today I had another "session" which seemed pretty much exactly the same as all my other "sessions." It consisted of doing 10 inside kicks, dropping the bag, picking it up. Doing 13 inside kicks, dropping the bag, picking it up. 17 inside kicks, dropping the bag, picking it up. Nine inside kicks, dropping the bag, picking it up... Ad infinitum. Occasionally I would hit a monster string of 30+ extreme inside kicks. :P Overall a fairly depressing "session."

I'll do it again tomorrow or the next day, or perhaps both.

*does the I've been doing nothing but inside kicks for 3 weeks dance*

This is how everyone starts. It takes time to build up the strength and coordination of the little muscles required for footbag. But since kicking doesn't require lots of energy you can do it everyday for long periods, so the more you do it, the faster you'll progress. Keep it up! It does get better.

No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.

Practice Practice Practice. When i started i could get 2-4 kicks and that would make me happy. I still remember how happy i was when i got 11 kicks. Outside on my deck, it was raining kinda lightly, with my white blue Mr. sandman. Just takes time, and tons of determination.
