can anyone tell me anything about Josh Raye bags? i am considering buying one and can't really tell anything from the reviews on freedom...
and please something other than "great" or "terrible"...i wanna actually KNOW about the bag...

I have one, I ordered it about...more than 6 months or something like that.
The bag is more for begginers than for pros, it quit soft and its filled
less than half.
IMO it great for performance cuz is easyer bag than Hanka or Fearless 55 or abshire (and bigger) I play with it when Im tired but its also great for schoolin stuff.
I recommend it.

I have one, its in alright shape. It was my favorite for while (then again, everytime I get a new bag its my favorite), but nowadays its really oddly deformed. All the pents are inflated and pop out? Not uniformly sphereical at all. Otherwise its a good bag.

thanks. how are josh rayes compared to abshires? which one stalls and sets easiest?

I don't like comparing bags with one another, but Josh's bags are like Abshire's, but they also look cleaner. It doesn't really make that much of a difference imo.

I don't think there's a point in commenting about which one stalls better and sets easier. However, I think they play much much better than a Juice Facile, bags filled with only poly pellets, bags that have more panels than you can count that are above the number 32, extremely large sandbags, and let's not get started with crochet bags. You dig?

as you can tell, i'm pretty new to the sport. i'm just looking to find a decent 32 panel. i got past the crochets pretty fast, that is, once i got a dirtbag, which is okay but pretty big and wont break in. and of course i have a couple mr.sandbags.
i'm just beginning to get tired of the dirtbag, and want a real 32.

Don't worry. I think it's a guarantee that whatever bag you get on modified, it will be awesome.

It's just important to get a good and affordable 32 as your first, so that you yourself can qualify it as real and awesome.

Anyway, I doubt you'll be let down by a Joshua Raye bag, or even an Abshire. They're both pretty good.

i got two josh rayes aat worlds as my first bags, along with a footfighter. they J.R's are GREAT for tiltless game... make everythign clean. its perfectrly sized for incoming players, and get very choice when broken in. do you have lavers? anywyas... its a great bag. id get one. =)

regarding josh rayes or abshires, it really depends on the model of abshire. an abshire standard would probably not be the easiest to use for a new player, but if you got an amaretta fearless 55, I think you'd be pleased with the playability.

josh's bags are considerably bigger than abshires.

for a brand new player, i think I'd recommed josh's over richie's.

Whatever you do, DON'T WAIT FOR 20 OPINIONS BEFORE YOU MAKE YOUR PURCHASE.

Seriously, the opinions you get in the first 5 responses to any question you ask about footbag are probably going to run the gamut of good choices to make. Even if you don't hear about every good choice in the first 5 responses you get, you'll still have plenty of good choices to choose from.

it's not you that is guilty of taking it to that level, but about a month ago, some new player totally spammed the bags and equip forum because he was too insecure to make a choice of footbags. Everyone kept telling him the same things, and he kept asking the same stupid questions, and he ended up making the same kind of choice he could have made after asking one time.

Just keep in mind, if someone is a relatively public stitcher with relatively regular output of footbags, and their stitching looks clean and consistent in pictures, then chances are very good that they can make you a good footbag.

It is more important that whatever stitcher you choose knows where you are in your game, than it is that you pick the right stitcher.

Most popular stitchers can make many different styles of bag. So, just pick a stitcher, tell them you're a noob, and that you need a good noob bag. That will be plenty enough to get you started.

Is it alright for me to say that you should try to order colors other than red and black?

Every newbie into footbag that wants a bag, want s a bag made in red and black. I think visibility is important, so bright colors work a whole lot better.

Just throwing this out there. Don't listen to me.
