Personal Opinion Post:

I think the [xdex] add is silly and unneccesary.

Some moves of the same add value are just harder than others. people believe that atomsmasher should be a 4 add because it is a hard 3. but the key point in that sentence is that it's just a hard 3.

I consider rev swirling pickup to be another hard 3 add and it is certainly harder than infinity, yet it gets no extra value, etc. the list can go on and on.

Down with add hunting!

xdex is unneccesary! Just deal with the fact that some tricks are harder than others.

Well then what about paradox? You can say the same things about it.

abw>blurriest>ps whirl - just so I can stay on topic

No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.

I don't think blurrage gets an x-dex. Would that mean that pdx barrage gets one as well? I think x-dex applies to dexterities that are pdx in nature but don't get a pdx add - for example in sumo the first dex gets a pdx add, but the second dex is also a pdx style dex, so it gets an x dex. In blurrage, the second dex gets a pdx add, but from that point, the third dex has no pdx component to it. Adds should be discrete although based on where the bag has come from, relative to the player. Under this definition, x-dex is really just an extension of pdx - it's an extra pdx add because the definition of pdx is not discrete, and it should be.

By discrete I mean that each add should be based one what happens with that part of the move, not on the moves around it - so any time you perform a far full dexterity you get a pdx or xdex add - which one is academic. In blurrage the first dex is not full or far. The second dex is far and full, so gets an xparadex add, and the third dex is full, but not far, so doesn't.

1. The main thing is that it's a cool combo. So props again.

2. All beastly combos could definitely be called fearless, and all fearless are also technically tripless. But it's a little strange if I called Dave's jackpot a cool tiltless combo. Are all tricks in a 7-7-7 2 adds or higher? Yes. But its still odd to call it by a lower standard.

3.

Honestly, by this logic you should have posted your combo in new runs, and not "new fearless combos." I respect (and agree) with the view that some tricks are harder than others, and that adds can be a silly way of distinguising difficulty. But if you are going to post in a thread that is fundamentally based on counting adds, then you need to count adds. I find this whole discussion a bit silly, but this stuck out as inconsistent.

I wish I could zoom...

I totally had to air-shred your combo Kevin. Nice stuff. I hit a nice fearless link last night, I'll post it later today.
