Johnny and I are going to be going to Toronto to play, and bus schedules and the like are making us arrive at the ripe time of about 11:30. He'll be there at around 11:00, and me 11:30.

I am taking the go, and he is taking greyhound, and we are meeting infront of Union, whereever the royal york hotel is. According to him it is the east side.

Anyway, I think that we will be there for a LONG time, because his bus leaves very late, I think 4:00 or something is the earliest for him.

His cell phone is 5197713230 and mine is 905 703 4160..

Give us a call if you want to meet up for some shred!

Today was awesome! A tad chilly, but way better than the last 4 months in Canada.

I feel compelled to do a short write-up of today, because I don't see other footbaggers that often, so I will :)

Friday Night: Call Johnny, and try to set anything up that I can. We agree that it would be the most conveinent to meet around 11:00 so that we would have ample time for Shred. I post in the FAT thread, and wake up to see that a bunch of other Footbaggers are interested too!

Saturday: So, I get a drive to the GO bus station that my town conveinently has, and massage a few footbags until my silent 1:15 journey in the depths of bus 02914 was over, (I COMPLETELY made that number up) and walked outside of the GO bus station downtown toronto. I was about 45 minutes early, so I went to walk inside some massive transit type building, and then amble out because the lack of people that thought the building was as interesting as I was.

I walk out, and see none other than TOM MOSHER, who I had NO idea was coming today, across the street. Little did I know before today, but Tom Mosher has the keenest set of eyes that the world ever did see. He just instantly saw Jon Haber walking at least 200 meters away, before I even looked in the direction. He claimed that his phone vibrated, but it was just killer-instinct.

We walked to a Bike Store for Tom and Haber's Fixies, and meet up with some eccentric salesman. According to Tom all bike store owners/employee's are strange, and some of them just creepy. I didn't find this hard to believe, because my local "Up-Your-Bike" owner is fucked. Anyway, Jon then accumulated some blue tires, which he threw around his shoulder all the way through toronto. Pretty nice set of hoola-hoops according to the population of Toronto.

We get back to Union to find Mike and Johnny, which felt cool. That "I don't see these people but every couple of months," feeling. I'm sure 99% of you, well, not FAT ;) but, 99% of anyone else knows this feeling whose been to a tournament. We press the on button to get onto the sunny side of the street, and walk to Ryerson University; Dundas Square had security prepared for about 5000 asians. No joke.

We find Alex along the way, and go to a Greenhouse/Sauna hallway above some cool grass and tiles 30 feet below, and get ready for Footbag. I warmed up with Mike and he gave me alot of compliments, which I don't often hear. It felt really sincere too, so it meant alot. Mike is a cool guy, and I'm happy I know him; I mean, I see him twice a year, but you can just tell that he's awesome. I hear he's getting married, so apparently more than one person thinks the same way. -EDIT, I lied to you all. He's not getting married ;)

Alex busted long tiltless strings, and mike drilled ducking clippers like crazy. He will overcome his record soon, he was consistantly around 5 I think every time. Anyway, Tom Johnny and Mr. Jon Haber played, well, played literally. Handstands were of the essence, and Jon RUINED his knee on the wall somehow. I am pretty sure my knee's felt it through his knees, and I felt really bad even though I had done nothing to cause it. He shook it off because he is a tank, but it must have hurt. Johnny shredded alot, I should mention. Some of his strings were just, super styley. I am not sure if he cares for me saying these things on modified, but I will because it is a shame no-one knows it except for him and I.

Whirr->Whirling Blender->almost spinning swirl.
Rubberman->blubberman. He stringed in and out of them.
To grasp the awesomeness of this combo, I feel everyone should watch a new born child say his first word.
Barfly->high plains drifter.

I know it isn't intense or anything, but watch Johnny do it and you will know what I mean.

So, Tom Mosher played footbag too. He hit FLUX like BUTTER. Some would say that it *ahem* may have not been butter, but Tom convinced me anyway. They had a handstand contest, Where Tom came first, Johnny second, and Jon third. I played footbag. Johnny and Alex also had a mirage race around a "track" and somehow, they rounded a curve and ended up just sprinting.

I did some tricks I guess, I really wanted double spinning clipper. I probably tried both sides about 30 times interwoven throughout the day, and I footed it (as in, it hit my hip and I sole kicked it) once. I got about 5 of them to land just 1 centimeter shy of my dear foot, which was depressing. I gave up because, last week I just hit double spinning toe, so, why not take a break and just, learn it instead of trying so much that you hit it by a mistake? I think I played just about as good as I should have. Sometimes I wish I tried for more variety, but it was cold enough that I didn't want to be too ballsy....

We packed our shit up, after Johnny hit some crazy stuff, really close to what must have been a 14 add move, the extra 2 adds for style, and went to Quiznos. Quiznos was tasty, and by recommendation from Johnny I got the Chicken Cabornara(sp) which was, unplacable. I am not sure what the sauce would be best described as, unless the more cultured people of this forum know that Cabornara is the sauce itself.

Tom and Jon are just funny together, especially because they have a seperate bike world to relate through. Johnny Mike Alex and I added intermitantly, but Tom/Jon really made it a sweet 20 minutes at Quiznos. Your mom jokes were explained, hobo's ALMOST pissing on the side of the street were observed, and I can't do any of the jokes justice on an internet forum. Shit.

We went home.

That's just what a person who was getting married would say. I wouldn't believe Mike if I were you.

Sorry I 'forgot' them.

OK truthtime, I just can't give them up.
I'd be willing to strike a deal though, I will give up the lavers in exchange for a lock of your hair, otherwise my Cassy voodoo doll won't work anymore.

'Dear god, I hope tom is kidding!'

For really though, I did just forget.

Or did I? :P
