Uhhh... saying you hit fancy highlights and then not revealing them isn't like.. noble or anything, it just winds up being annoying.

People who care about the shit you are doing are interested to know about the shit you are doing.

It's great to hear that you are doing well, not that I could give you any specific props though.

edit: sorry for the jerk tone and for taking the top of your new page with my jerky post.

I miss you John, you're such a great guy. Someone asked me recently if you were the type of person to ever rip someone off and I was happy and proud to say that you could trust John Bagi without a doubt! :D

yaya I can understand how that would be anoying Tom. Come play with me sometime, then I'll show you a few new things.

A fully balanced-equipped string that I hit today:

magellan>pixie whirl>rip walk>drifter>far whirl

Every trick was tight and under control.

I think the KFM is about to boycott the terminology "paradox". The classification "far" is simple and explanitory. I've been thinking about ADDS alot lately and a conclusion is approaching... They are SILLY.

SILLY SILLY SILLY SILLY...

"wow look at this sport I play it's so interesting, it has point values and everything" - Average player

"who gave this sport point values, they contradict themselves at every angle?" - Newage add-boycotting player

My new camera is ILL. We've got tons of footage. BLURGH.. what do I do with all of it?

I totally blew it this past Christmas when I didn't really get anything for Stefan. I think I made it up to her today. Her new laptop will assist her along her way through school for the next few years.

Me: 8) Stefan: 8O

Hey footbag peeps, yall out there?

Life is busy right now. Workin like mad before I go to BC for my second year of treeplanting in the wild. Guess who's coming along to plant her ass off. Yes, Stefan is coming planting and she's going to earn a good chunk of change. We've already started to train and cross train for the upcoming season. I think she will be a very efficient planter from what I've seen so far. Oh yah, by the way, planting is rated as one of the most physycally exerting jobs in all of north america. People work like motherfuckers to make as much as they can. Then they go sleep in their tents and repeat, for 3 months. That's just to give you a sense of what this planting thing is all about. Like I have previously mentioned; a few friends and I along with a low budget director will be shooting a documentary to show what the experience in the bush is all about. Check back to find out more about this in the near future.

So I have my own laptop now. It's the first comp that I've owned. It cost a lot and will be able to hack away at any major film editing.

This:

Image

Plus this:

Image

equals my first footbag movie!

Oh yah I hit food processor today. I think Derrik said it was "perfect" or maybe thats just what I wanted to hear. My first six. Then Greg hit his first 6. Food as well. HOly MOly!! I've also been toying with blurry torque and tried blurry merlin a few times and came very close.

And I finally got into ferrys about a week ago and their coming out very nice.

ferry legover>ferry legover>PLO>PLO>butterfly>ripwalk>blurry whirl>osis......

smear>fear>PLO>smear>fear>drop

Oh there's sp much to write about but not enough time.

Oh yah I'm going on a cross Canada road trip with some treeplanters and Stefan. Were buying a van and everything. A few stops in Winnipeg for shred with Erik Chan and Andrew Grant of course.

Peace

yeah yeah,

I've been thinking a lot about where to shred. I get enjoyments out of shredding in new places where we can infiltrate the minds of non footbagers.

Todays session had yet another six add trick. The best part is that I got it on tape and it is super clean. The worst part is that I don't even know how to explain the components of this trick properly. I know it's called locomotion. stepping far... im not too sure. double downing reverse osmosisisisis osis triple dip with a flip? that it? I donno. Two six adds in two sessions, I'll take it.

paradon>paradox illusion repeat
paradon>paradox mirage repeat
osis>rev swirl bsos
4 blurrywhirls in a string with tons of toe delays
pixie blender, first try ever

My legs are doing that injury thing again. Leg- "NAAAAWWW WE DON WANT YOU TO PLAY FOOTBAAAAAAAAAAGG N HAAAAVE FUUUN" and I reply with "take that, 6 add, stupid legs" yah that might not make sense but whatevs

Stefan and I went for a swimming workout tonight for treeplanting cross training. Have you ever done that thing where keep yourself floating by only using your legs in a "eggbeater" fashion. That's what swimmers call it I guess I'm not making the relation myself. But I don't think that there is a better way to drill double downs and eggbeaters. I practiced it in the deap end for about 10 minutes and after that I couldn't swim any more because it ruined my muscles (in a good way). Best dexing workout ever.

BLAH BLAH BLAH
Tom's coming to visit this weekend. YAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

The camera will be with me when I head out your way Andrew. We'll get some dopeass footage from that session.

Just finished reading most of my blog from when it started about a year ago. WOW. I hit some tricks and links back then that I can't hit now. And I hit em when I was only a few months into footbag. DATW>doubleswitch rpt huh how the hell did I do that. I guess I have traded longer more balanced and structure-focused strings for my old style. Which was trying one trick or link for two hours. On another note; since Tom Mosher has left Kingston my bsosness has been lacking. I need be more bsossish. Bsos for breakfast, bsos for dinner, masturbation bsossity. I'll see if anyone noticed that.

Tom Mosher is coming up to Ktown to visit/shred/PARTY/catch up on the good ol times. The KFM is looking forward to your arrival Tom. :D

Ahhhhh so very true Andrew. Except for the part about tricks being the or thin. I would never credit myself for thin or the tricks especially because Tom and Derrik were always there to catch that thief. I can just picture what I used to look like. It makes me want to jump off a cliff. Weather it looked bad or not, I was still hitting some stuff that I can't hit now. Sometimes by brain doesn't want to accept the fact that I can't yet hit any trick I want at any moment. This is the same urge that makes me shred everyday. Another upside is that certain tricks may be temporarily lost but I could learn them again way faster than before. Hopefully they wont look like poop the second time around. This is why I have so much respect for Jorden's game. He's got a killer variety in his pocket that he can just pull out any time.

Today was off balance. I went to meet a buddy at the bar to discuss a water proof, super durable camera case that we're constructing out of an old tackle box. My camera now has the ability to capture footage while undergoing harsh weather conditions. Then I threw back two free pints and went to kick. What? Did he just say? Yep I thought everything would be alright and it was. I hit some really good stuff. Probably one of my best links EVER. Then I crashed hard and I'm continuing to crash right now.

 8O stepping paradox illusion>pixie illusion>pixie double overdown
Also known as
blizzard>smudge>pixie double overdown
smear rpt x15

Greg and Derrik played really well as usual. Greg did a huge handstand, I didn't even know he could do handstands and then poof there he is. I swear he can pretty much do everything he just chooses not to do everything. Derrik can agree with this. One day day he'll hit clownface and be like "no big deal, i've hit it before".

Good times, but no more 'aim juice' before kicky sack ever again.

I don't even know what happened yesterday. A million footbag tricks, tons of fun and lots of pain today. I'm not even going to work today because I'm so beat. We had four people in our Kingston shred circle for the first time in a while. Greg, Derrik, me, and Tom Mosh. Super good weeekend. It sucked that it had to end. All in moderation I suppose. Tom come baaaaaaaaaaaaack!

Ticks where being hit left right and center holy moly.
barfly>drifter>swirl
blurry merlin - voodoo
footed ripstien a few times
footed mullet
symp whirl bsos x2
symp whirling swirl
 rooted pheonix new 6
I hit my flip drifter>blurry whirl, it was mid string and I hit spinning clipper out of it, and i continued to do a long string.
pixie same side blender
stepping same side blender
blender>reverse twirl (downtime swirling osis) I was trying to hit blender>twirl but I just dexed the wrong way. Tom was like whaaaaaaaa? I wouldn't of even known unless he mentioned that it was reverse. ahhhhh

Thanks for a ton of great memories Derrik, Greg, and Tom.

handstand sex pooping? what?

I actually had fun playing footbag tonight. It's been a while, what with the injuries and all, that I've been really explosive and in control. When we started shredding I just wanted to hit really tough stuff and I felt like I was capable. ducking clipper rpt X 25, DATW rpt X 6. I fell short in an attempt to hit phoenix>blurry whirl>ps whirl. Which is great because I hit phoenix>blurry whirl both sides. Also; blender>blender, dyno>dyno>blender, ummm.. reverse swirl>blender BSOS, osis rpt X 50, tombstone, drifer>torque bsos, a questionable whirr. Whoa, I just noticed that I usually post tricks and links based around clipper game and forget about a lot of the toe components. I've hit; [Magellan>PLO] rpt >[smear>pixie ss mirage rpt] >[pixie ss pickup>pixie pickup] rpt. Also; [smudge>pixie ss illusion] rpt, muted magellan>muted pixie ss pickup, I footed a barefoot triple mirage once. I think that because I've gotten a little bit heavier that my double switchovers have slowed dramatically. Oh yah, I basically hit pixie weaving pickup, Derrik would give it to me, Greg wouldn't, and I will just nod my head along to the beat. I really like Doctor Who it's my new favorite show. That was random. I've noticed that EVERYONE says "random" these days. EVERYTHING just happens to be random. It's like people are too lazy to actually think a proper word that fits better than "random". I like to believe that things are not all just random. Reason should be given where reason is due. pixie zulu buterfly. How did I almost forget, tonight I was aiming to hit my other pixie ducking whirl and after about 5 attempts I'd almost given up. Then when the bag came around again I did the unthinkable. Lets just add another 5 add after , then everything will make sense and nothing will be random ever again. BOOOM pixie ducking whirl (flip side that I've never hit before)>blurry whirl. How about a [smear>atomsmasher] rpt combo. Footbag tricks, stitching footbags, making footbag videos, work, treeplanting, road trip, saying goodbye to Ontario for 6 months, missing my family and friends, new experiences await, owing Money Mart $950.00 because I Fuct up my taxes, giving all my love to Stefan.

Wow that post felt good. It probably sucks to read because I suck at writing but whatever.

Redbull wants the KFM to shred at a freestyle soccer event? What? How random

oops, I didn't hit blurry merlin, I hit paradox merlin, sorry to get anyones hopes up on that one. I tried blurry merlin a few times last night and I do hope to hit it soon.

I believe GRASS is after the 20th of April rite? If so I won't be able to make it because I'm leaving on the 20th. Plus I'm super saving money for my cross country road trip. Any way you can make it here to Kingston before the 20th for a shred Matt? I'll be in BC for the next 6 or more months...

Hey world.

I made it across Canada successfully. It took 5 of us 10 days and we traveled from Kingston, Ontario to Prince George, British Columbia (and everywhere in between). The van that we drove which we named Afrodeity was trustworthy all the way. Oh except for the time when gas was spraying all over the highway. I ended up underneath the van with gas spraying all over me while I rigged up the gas line so that it stopped leaking for the rest of the journey. The sites were beautiful everywhere we traveled and I'm super excited that everything went so easy. Except for the time when me and my friend Cory were hitch hiking on Vancouver Island and no one picked us up. Cory has hitched over 60,000 km in his life so I was in good hands. I'm at a motel right now called the "Queensway" which is like the trading post for all planters in Prince George. Our start date was pushed back 12 days because the ground is still too cold to for the little baby trees to start their lives. Thus, we've got like 8 more days to try and not spend all of our money. Whoa how did I almost forget; awesome session in Winnipeg with Erik Chan, Andrew Grant, Derrik Vandall, and Manna. It was sick! I had an amazing time playing with them and hope to reunite again after planting. Which brings me to my next point; last year I played footbag like twice while planting, AHHHHHHHHHHHHH can I make it? If I quit drinking completely than I might be able free up a lil more time and energy.

Winnipeg
I played well but I seriously have to lose all of my upper body weight. I won't have super long string with all of this useless weight. I hit blurrage but didn't catch it. I think Andrew caught it.

I feel fat. I have always been so skinny. This is a weird feeling.

blahhhhhhhhhhhhh

To update the last 6 months. I lived in British Columbia for the whole time where I worked for greedy logging companies to help rebuild the great Canadian forests. I got promoted many times and was very successful. Very important things happened. haha

Now I am back in Kingston. I get to be with my girlfriend Stefan whom I love and cherish and we get to live with our new puppy, Bosh. A purebred Vizsla.

I fill in with such facts just in case anyone cares to learn more about me. (I am also devoting time to yoga)

But seriously, c'mon, I'm here to play footbag. I'm on a new diet that prescribes footbag with a little footbag on the side. I play everyday for an hour. This way I can learn something everyday and never over work my body. I'm really going to avoid injuries and become a consistent solid player. I playd a few times by my self in the last 6 months. The line of work that I'm into leaves no time nor energy for this game. I'm getting back into the swing of things/starting fresh. I hope to erase bad habits and build a fun game so that I can feel confident about my skill and development, show other people this great game, and enjoy playing on a higher level with other great players. I don't do much socializing on this forum anymore. I found there to be too many opinions (my own being one too many) so now I will be a hermit and live in this blog. I guess outlining what this log will contain will help me to organize what I write in here and why. Let's see here..... a list of my progression along with goals and victories; picture of things (I really like pictures. I think people like having a window that allows a glimpse of what goes on and on in peoples lives that aren't their own. This may include new bags that I've stitched or of Bosh, me and Stefan's pup. Or whatever I feel like); A few small video clips here and there; and probably my opinions on such topics as "Vasek not winning worlds" or "why I love shepperds pie so much"

Bye
