Is this clean? (trick clips)

Post by Zac Miley »

This is just a thread idea. I'm not sure if it should be in videos or Shred Symposium, but this is basically just a place to post your little clips of new moves.

I guess it's sorta useless, but I don't think that many people read the new moves thread unless they're posting in there themselves. This way, you'll get to see a video of the moves.

I dunno. Thoughts? I guess I should give some credit to Ken and his blog, but I've thought about this thread for a long time.

Here are some clips of me today (all on footbag.org, maybe we should take use of the youtube feature here?):

- Strong Double Pickup
- Barrage
- Pixie Paradon>Blur rpt
- Flip Double Pickup

edit: fixed the barrage link.

you dont need me to preface my comments with nice comments or anything im going to assume because you know i think you're a cool person and you're definitely better at footbag than me at this point, so i'll skip right on ahead :P

nice work on pixie paradon>blur>rpt, but the first p. paradon was the (1st dex of the double down), but the second one looked fine to me.

the barrage one got 404'd when i tried to direct link it. could be just me but either way, im guessing it looks a lot like your double pickup bailed to far toe. which brings me to my next point-

in my opinion you do your first dex of the double pickup a little too whirly, like a bit too horizantal. if you point your foot slightly more towards the ground on the first dex (the second dex looks solid on both sides to me) i think it will look a good bit cleaner.

cool on you for starting this thread, and for wanting to up your game even further. (ha i still said nice stuff anyway, cuz im cool like that...)

edit-i just peeped your jani attempts in your blog and the first dex on the barraging looked more vertical and less whirly than when in the clips when you hit double pickup, i dunno if its the angle or just because you were trying it as a set so you had to set it higher and really dig for it, but whatever it was, do that :P

Thanks Pete, I appreciate the feedback. I don't know why the barrage one gives a 404... maybe it has something to do with the question mark in the file name. I'll retry the uploading.

But anyways. I think you're a cool person too. ;)

I would watch these if they were on youtube, but I don't have the time or motivation to bother downloading them.

Thanks Brian.

They're on youtube now, Ken (processing, though). The reason I didn't before was because of the terrible quality.

Just watched the rpt drill one and the barrage one. The drill was really cool, though i think the first dex in the first double down is the, everything else was solid.

For barrage i think your rising your knee to high on the second dex, it looked like you trying to go above it, rather then around.

I have to give you props for your sick three entry in the recent comps, i think that was one of the best ones. It's cool your learning double downs both sides and so quickly.

Everything seemed to have some the' in one dex or another. Play it frame by frame in quick time, its not difficult to see.

I disagree. The barrages were the, and on the first pixie paradon the second dex was the (I'm not sure about the double pickups yet) but I'm pretty sure that's it.

By the way, this thread isn't just for me. It's for people to post their clips and get them criticized.

POST CLIPS! :)

Here's a few from today... Youtube this time. By the way, all of these clips were first try. I got some good clips that weren't first try but I deleted them. I r purist!

- Far Swirl BSOS
- Are these Pixie Paradons better?
- RIpstein consistency

Comments are welcome, as are clips from other people. ;)

cool idea for a thread. i like it. should post your videos only in footbag.org though... youtube is useless for cleanliness for the most part. that being said, those ripsteins were mad clean imo. props. hard to tell for swirl or pixie paradon.

might try filming some stuff ive been thinking about and throwing it in here.

I agree, but a lot of people prefer the convenience of youtube. Can't wait to see some clips, Gray! :D

I posted something about this in trick tips, but i didn't get any advice. I still think it looks off. Maybe knee placement for the catching leg?

Also if anyone has some tips for hitting them b2b, let me know.

i think its thin and it kinda looks as if you catch the bag before
the dex is completed/dexing leg hits the ground...

but i'm confident that you will get your blurriest as fat as your
other stuff soon mec !

cant wait to get skooled by you this summer :D

I think the blurriest looks fine (not perfectly clean, but fine), but the pixie paradon second dex looks a bit rev whirly. Maybe it's because it's on your other side?

Nice links either way, Fog is a hard trick.
