I know I'm getting better. I just got done playing outside today (weather is crazy...60's last week then snowing yesterday then I am outside in shorts and a tank today!) and hit tons of nice combos. Kind of short but sweet. I got it on video. Hope that I find time to make it soon. Showertime!

EDIT: Oh yeah...My Mosher bag got its first hole. :( And I don't know where I put that extra patch he sent me! Oh go go!

So I finally got over my sickness and played a little today. Nothing to post about really. I can't wait to get outside again. :D

Ok. Purple sucks. I just tried to stitch up my little hole (actually, I noticed a second one forming on a purple panel:cry:), and I made it bigger. I guess I tugged a little too hard. I'm on my way out to Best Buy and Wal-mart, so I think I will buy some patches, since I can't find the one Mosher gave me.

EDIT: Fixed. :)

Looks like I'm talking to myself on this page so far. Oh well. :P

I played outside today. I waited a little too late, though, cuz I didn't have much time before the sun went down. It's funny how you can't hit the easiest tricks with a tiny amount of darkness. I literally only worked on the challenges Ashley gave me...clipper, legover, mirage btb stuff. BUT I worked on staying on my toes more and doing the magic hop. It felt funny at first and took a second to get used to, but I felt SO much more hoppy and energetic.

I hit 20 strongside mirages. I could've gone longer, but I decided to stop. I struggled with flipside. Worked on clipper stuff including staying on my toes and the magic hop. I hit 15 btb clippers. I've done better. Then I went back to flipside mirages and went from barely 8 in a row to 16 just from staying on my toes and magic hopping. I felt a difference with my legovers, too, but it was too dark to work on them or anything else. THANK. YOU. EMILY!

Any other day, I'd be embarrassed or unproud to say that that's what my session consisted of, but I am not, since I added two new concepts to my game. Judging from my last two outside sessions, I feel very successful and like I am going to bust out any time now. :D :D :D

Thank-you, everybody who has commented on my footblog, challenges, and videos. It really is helping. Makes me feel like I wasted the first years of my footbag life. I went from literally doing everything on my own, barely improving, to adding a few videos within one year, really improving.

Once I start playing outside more, I think I might alternate sessions from focusing on btb kind of records to hitting long strings.

Kayleigh is taking a nap, and all of my schoolwork is done. I want to go out and play footbag, but I have a stupid headache, and it's kind of chilly...

No excuses!!

The best way to improve is to make sure you shred a lot. Even if your sessions are short, by shredding atleast once a day you can improve slowly but surely. Try to not have anybreaks from shredding, and try to post another video soon. :)

Please disregard my last post...I decided to take an Exedrin and wear my UnderArmour and make myself go out and play. I had to sit out a bunch of throbbing headaches, but boy am I glad I made myself play...

4 LO in a row...close to hitting 5 or 6
13 clippers BTB, 2 different runs
8 infinities BTB
mir>ss mir rpts and random mir and ss mir strings (didn't feel like doing mir btb)
finally hit butterfly>osis>pdx mir rpt (x2!)
didn't feel like working on (d)atws so I just threw in alternating datw attempts...hit flipside first...never hit strongside
mir>lo rpt x3
what I call "miragy combos" (mir, drifter, symp mir, pdx mir)
And the HIGHLIGHT highlights of my session...
SYMP DRIFTER both sides! (strange feeling)
PDX WHIRL flipside! (barely and too tired to finish hitting strongside)

No more headache, and it was actually too hot for UnderArmour. Everyone keeps asking for another video, and I feel like I am posting too many b4 my skill increases, but I think it's time to bust out my camera next time. :D

Well...I was waiting and waiting for YouTube to get my video ready, but I gotta go to bed. I played some footbag today. I've been working a lot this week compared to before, and I played right after work...I was too tired to really get going, but I decided to get some big tricks on video. Stay tuned.

PS...I woulda had this posted earlier, but my computer is being a pain. Took me forever to make a 1.5 minute video! Ugh.

Thanks, Janis. I haven't seen you on poker, yet.

On a non-footbag note, work and school kicked my butt this week (doubled my hours). I'm sitting here drinking vodka and juice because of it. Yum.

I played footbag today. Nice session but nothing new.

Ha. I was reading over my other pages here and saw mine and Emily's posts about one of my dreams about her. Made me smile. DO YOU DETEST ME!? Haha...I love dreams.

Ah...I feel like kind of venting some. Sometimes I just feel like giving up on things. Nothing serious like life (don't worry :P) but just little things. Two things on my mind right now...1) friends that I try to stay in contact with who never get back to me, making me feel like they could care less when I am actually probably overanalyzing it and they are just too busy at the moment, although if I can find time to make a call, anyone should be able to and 2) where to move. My mom is planning on moving somewhere again...more than likely SC. I REALLY do not want to build my life up again. I feel like I just settled down here with the little that I got, but is it worth it to try to stay on my own? I don't make much. I don't have a reliable car. I wouldn't have any family with me at all besides Kayleigh (it is nice to have someone help me out with school and give me time away from Kayleigh). I thought about trying to go back to Pa, but I don't feel like going through all of that. Then I feel like I might not be able to do it on my own just yet, and I should just give up and follow my mom with my tail between my legs once again. I'm sure I could make it on my own, but I am not sure if it is worth the fight just yet.

Two things:

1) Atreyu's latest CD is awesome. I have this thing where I think that cool people's newer stuff sucks, but I am happy I finally decided to give their CD a shot. I am trying to make myself not believe in my theory, because it is wrong.

2) Die Hard 4 was awesome. Bought it a while ago but finally made the time to watch it. I have a pile of DVDs I still need to watch.

i certainly understand the whole not keeping up with old friends crissy. distance seems to create these lulls in friendships & if you don't persistantly break them, then the silence carries for too long. it begins to feel like calling the person might be difficult now & conversation would feel forced. i guess it just depends on how tight the bond is between 2 friends, and the majority of the time friendship is rarely 50-50. on the other hand i don't mean to bring you down. honestly, i'm suprised you've lived in w.virgina for as long as you have. if i were in w.virgina, i think i'd move as soon as possible. in your case the decision to move ultimately comes down to what you think is best you your daughter.

on the plus side, i just heard from andrew coleman & he's moving to nashville. yee haw!

I played some footbag today. I focused on basics, and then I tried dlo. No luck, really, but I didn't try very hard. I worked 9 to 2 today, chilled a little bit, and then played this...all while my godmother watched Kayleigh. I hope that didn't bother her. Gotta go get a shower and pick Kayleigh up.

You guys are gonna be proud of me when you see my next video. I did not capture anything today, but I plan on it next time. I was too lazy today. Haha. But I focused on making my strings longer. I probably did 5, 10, 20? contact strings today. I filled a lot of them in with toe stalls and clippers, but still... 8O 8O

Some of my highlights:
 random toe stall, clipper, mirage, legover, pickup, and butterfly combos
 random legover, clipper, far legover, and toe stall combos (I can hit legovers alright now, but I still can't pass 4 btb, yet...)
 random infinity and osis combos
 clipper>swirl>op toe>rpt! My first swirl bsos, I think!
 drifter bsos
 illusion bsos
 BOPS are getting better...I hit some good butterfly and pdx. mirage combos

I wanted to play more, but Kayleigh was upstairs sleeping, and we both have pink eye in both eyes. I experienced playing footbag with glasses for the first time. After a while, I started dropping more, because my nose was too sweaty. I am still happy with my session, and I love that I have been finding time to play atleast once a week now. Go me!

Oh yeah...I briefly worked on ripwalk, too. I have never stepped. Is there an easier stepping trick to work on?

Wasn't very high in spirits at all today, so I decided to go out and play some footbag to clear my mind. It worked. I captured the session, so you should see it sooner or later. My little distraction joined me, too!
