I read this today when I typed "footbag" into the search field on Google news. I bet they weren't kicking a net bag . . .
"A Boulder man arrested over the weekend on suspicion of taking a 5-year-old child from the Old Chicago restaurant on Pearl Street was charged today in Boulder County District Court with attempted second-degree kidnapping.
Frank McCowan III, 55, a registered sex offender with a lengthy criminal history, was arrested Sunday evening after Boulder police said he left Old Chicago with the boy, whose mother didn't realize it at first.
The mother had been with friends on the restaurant's patio Sunday afternoon when McCowan approached her and chatted about sports teams. When she later noticed her son was gone, he and McCowan were found on Pearl Street Mall, kicking a footbag, police said.
McCowan is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing for the attempted kidnapping case at 1:30 p.m. April 3."

hahahaha, great improvement, grant.
Thanks for this post, jeremy. I got a great laugh out of it because it's exactly the opposite of what I expected (and any other "footbag in the news" post I've ever seen).
edit: is there a possibility that this might add some kind of edgy / dangerous / extreme angle to our sport? this actually COULD be good for footbag! what if it makes footbag look "dangerous"? this could be perfect... we'll tell all the parents that footbaggers are child molesters (not that I haven't had to deal with this perception from my own parents in the past...
) and they'll tell their kids not to do it, and all the kids will rebel and play footbag!
