Post by BenRea »

I recently bought a 360 and have become quite addicted to PGR3. I also got some gay ass game for 6 bucks called "Juiced 2". call of duty 3. and halo 3 and guitar hero 3.

my girlfriend loves PGR 3 so it's fun to play with her, i like that.

what other games do you recomend I get? i am an avid ebay shopper

Well it depends what types of games you enjoy.

Some games to check out (all genres):

- Tiger Woods
- Oblivion
- Burnout Paradise
- Dead Rising (if you have an HD tv)
- Gears of War
- Colin Mckrae

and my all time favorite, Skate

Really it depends what types of games you're into. Also, if you have a live account, download some demos, if not, check out gaming sites like gamespot.

It's all about the arcade games, check out Rez HD, and e4, very fucked up games that are quite enjoyable.

If you don't get GTA IV when it comes out April 29th, you're probably not very smart.

I'm seriously considering getting a 360 just to play this game.

Madden and CoD 4 are tons of fun. CoD4 is way better than Halo in my opinion.

As far as racing Forza 2 is good, but really hard.

I can't wait for Fable 2. It will be epic.

That would be EVERYONE'S opinion  Although I haven't played it myself, I've watched plenty of videos and it doesn't seem as completely amazing ROXORZ OMGWTFLOLLMAOBBQ as everyone says. Halo has a unique quality to it, I don't like "realistic" FPS though (as in, human v human combat/war) because almost all of them are the same.

I really hate Halo haha. I played CoD2 for 3 or 4 seasons in Cal, my CoD4 team fell apart this season (all on PC). and now i cant really stand any other shooters than the CoD series. But in my book CoD on PC>CoD on Xbox>Halo.

the thing I hate about Halo is I don't really feel in control and the movement is to sluggish for my taste, but thats just me.

Forgot to say I have tony hawk project 8 and the newest one, proving ground. both very entertaining.

Yeah, i want burnout paradise, PGR 4, and CoD 4 . I'm just going to wait to find some good deals on ebay though. May be a while for CoD4 because its so popular. the lowest "Buy it Now" I could find was like 41 bucks and I'm not going to be spending that.

I would agree that Halo 3 is not a perfect game because so far there isnt one game that will always get a review of 10/10 or 100% or whatever. But i'd say it's pretty close. So is CoD 4 but everyone has seen a war game. halo was something new and the characters were unique.

I don't really bother with FPS games on the console anymore. If you've played with mouse + keyboard before it's a bit of a letdown to use a game-pad (despite the tremendous improvements that have been made in that area).

Project 8 was OK if you don't mind very unrealistic games. They really got their challenge structure right though. If you do enjoy skating games, pick up EA's "Skate", it's the best in the genre.

I do agree with Skate, I only played the demo though. (about 1000 times) It's an amazing game, it makes tony hawk look silly. And if you are an avid ebay shopper, why are you only looking for deals for Buy It Now? :D

This game is equal parts fun and frustrating! The first few play throughs can be aggravating but once you level up, things get easier. All that aside, you have not lived until you've annihilated zombies with an excavator!

Oblivion is the shit. I'm ridiciously addicted to it. Also, if you've played Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic I or II, I'd recommend Mass Effect.

yeah Mass Effect and Oblivion are great.

If you are serious about these games I'd also suggest getting rid of your g/f right now (although this can take care of itself) and quitting your job (this can also take care of itself) ;)

GTA 4 -- Everyone should at least try it. It got a 10/10...(closer to 8.5 IMO  )

Condemned 2: Bloodshot -- brutal 1st person hand to hand combat. Once you beat it FPS mode is unlocked which is fun for replaying. This game is scarier than any scary movie iv seen in years which makes it extra fun.

Halo 3 -- Most fun online FPS...but not the best

Bioshock -- Fun, scary and challenging FPS.

Turok -- Great if you like dinosaurs. If you dont, its not worth it.

Assassins Creed -- Fun but get repetitive a bit quick

COD4 -- Amazing but hardcore realistic

Burnout Paradise -- Havnt played it much but what i did play was pretty sick.
