This is just for information purposes, and am not too sure if anyone else was aware of this fact, because I have read here on modified that amaretta is also refered to as Alcantara.
Well, I just got off the phone with a representative of Torray. I was searching for amaretta suede and a few of the searches resulted in a link to their site.
Alcantara is the American version of the Japanese product, Ultrasuede.
Amaretta suede, made by Kuruay or Clarino, is the competitive product that is developed in Italy.
This really hinders my search for amaretta suede b/c Clarino is terrible at getting back to people about inquiries.
Seems like a pointless post, but I spent alot of time today looking for amaretta and was under the assumption that it was also called Alcantara, which it is not. Alcantara is a thicker version of ultrasuede light that is used for upholstery and automotive applications.
If any one out there reads through this and knows where to buy cut yardage of Amaretta suede, please post it here.
I am willing to buy from retailers or individuals.
SOMEONE PLEASE HOOK ME UP!
