How tall are you? From the pic it looks between 6-6'3? It kind of looks like you jumped from a stand still or something. I'm 5'9 and usually try one dunk before the game before my knee starts to hurt, and of the hundred's attempted I've put down 13-14 cleanly.

This is a little delayed, but last month while in Japan I had the privilege to kick with Japan's finest. Here are two pictures, and a video would be on the way with Taishi's permission.

Image

Left to right: Me(making a dumb face :? ), Taishi, Takumi, and last is a really cool guy whose name I forgot (Japanese names are hard to remember), but he supplied good music and good shred. One more shredder showed up, unfortunately I don't have him in any picture.
Needless to say, I had an amazing time.

Here is Taishi's shirt which one day I plan to steal (the cropped text at the bottom says "footbag")

Aaron! Looking cut. How did you place? How much weight did you cut for this? You look a lot smaller.

3rd pose looks stellar. Really shredded in that one. Good work. This was your first comp right?

Thanks Peng! I ended up getting third place in that competition out of six guys. The great thing is, I got moved up to a bigger weight class so not only was I the lightest guy on stage (172 Lbs), but I also was the tallest. Considering those two circumstances, it's amazing that I beat out bigger guys. Unfortunately I was aiming for light weight and the break off point for that was 167 Lbs, although the promoter told me it was 176. I think he gave me the open competitor break off and not the novice, so next time I'll be sure to aim for a weight that will help me and not hurt me.

Other then that, I did come in with a bit of muscle mass/size lost but I aimed for conditioning more then anything else. I got down to 3.7% bodyfat for the competition and without being that cut up there is no way I would have beat out the other guys. I lost a total of 32 Lbs in thirteen weeks for this competition, next time I'll try to end up losing less because I won't try to bring my bodyfat up any higher then 12%. Wish me luck!

You think his colour looks good? I think he should have gone darker with the protan.

I am not a fan of guys that go really dark, esp white people. When they go too dark on their bodies their faces often look messed up. For example at the NPC this year a guy that should have done really well and maybe got a pro card got dropped down several places because his colour was so stupid looking. I think for colouring when you are white, less is more.

Example:

Alex went from (2.5 weeks out):

I think Aaron looks a little too washed out because of the stage lighting. A couple shades darker would have been more advantageous for contrasts to highlight his physique.

I think a white man going black is stupid too, but I wasn't talking about that extreme.

I believe Ales or Aaron posted in one of the other bodybuilding threads that making yourself unnaturally dark really helps show your muscle definition.

So, it definitely looks strange to the uninitiated, but it serves a purpose.

If you cover up that guys face with your hand, he looks black. Thats a little insane.

Aaron, you look sick!(in a good way!)

But if you don't cover his face, he looks like he's just in black face.
