Well... day 1.
Not entirely where to start or what to start about. For the sake of the forums I guess i'll stick to the theme. I just started up hacking again about a week ago and am taking it apparently more serious then ever... Judging by how sore my hips, hamstrings, and ankles have been ha ha. I can hit my insides, outsides, & toes both legs no problems. Delays and stalls I can hit both legs on toes and outsides and only enough on my right insides to be considered consistsant. As for other tricks I can do... what we had always called: standing jesters, jesters, and super jesters. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think everyone on here calls them clippers? Also if anyone knows the correct term for what I'm calling a "super jester" please let me know. I've been working on my around the worlds on my right leg and land them a quarter of the time although my right legged pixies are looking rough. I just can't send my leg over and down to the ground fast enough yet... Almost though.
...Sigh... So I'm a 20 year old barista in the land of salt and allergies which is salt lake city Utah. I work ovetime which I'm never compensated for, lactose intollerent, don't eat meat, use public transportation daily, shop online not at the mall, only buy shoes by onitsuka tiger, spray legal graffiti and only use Spanish Montana. If you were to remember any of that about me tomorrow i'd give you a high five.
Also, this just in... I'm going to a fabric store today after work to go grab needle, thread, and some ultra suede. Ha ha I feel like a nerd... But I'm pretty excited to have something else to learn ha ha...
This is this and that is that.
Questions? comments? Anyone reading? Ha, feel free to reply in thread or PM whatevs.
day in the life of a barista

I recommend you read the post in the Getting Started forum called "I just started playing, what do I do first?" or something like that.

i work for one of the bigger locally owned shops in utah. my boss owns Rimini raosting co. which operates right in down town SLC and distributes all over the US. He also owns 3 coffee shops in salt lake now 2 of which i've helped him launch in the past year.
it's a fun life.
but yeah all local for me right now. i did do my time though at starbucks *spits on the ground*... it was a rough patch i dont want to recall.. ha ha.

well well well.
so the other day i went out and got me some fabric, needles, and upholstery thread all for about 5.5$ from a local fabric store. the bags are coming along nice... i think... ha ha. i still need to buy some filler though 8(
bag #1 was a success... except for the whole blind stitch part... fuuuuuk that noise. even with the last centimeter lookin like a heap of trash i still threw sand in it and kicked it around. it works well... except one out of every four times it gets kicked you see a dust cloud radiate around it...
bag #2 was a cock tease. i was on the last panel (oh i forgot to mention im doing 8-sided) and when i tie off my threads i've been taking my lighter to the loose ends cause they melt into little balls which in my mind would help hold it together if a knot broke... anyways... i was lighting the loose ends when one of the strings let out a mini-fireball which dropped off and burned a hole through one of the panels... i gave up...
bag #3 is what im working on today at work. so far its a success. im spending extra time on it doing anchor stitches on every side like a good boy. im almost proud of myself...
yesterday i landed my first pixie... im sure it looked something like a giraffee in zero gravity... awkward.
also landed more ATW's and finally learned the meaning of the word "dex" ha ha.
today im just gonna be going over the above two moves when i can so that i can hope to have them clean before too long.
